5 Celebrities Who Should Stay Off of Twitter

Victoria Leigh Miller
Don't celebrities know they shouldn't tweet without their publicist in the room? From Charlie Sheen's crazed Twitter antics to Courtney Love's costly mistake, here's the skinny on some really stupid celeb Twitter rampages- and 5 celebs who should just say no to Twitter:

Charlie Sheen- Hollywood's bad boy has given the tabloids plenty of fodder in recent weeks (most recently, he's been fired from his sitcom "Two and a Half Men") but it's his gibberish-filled Twitter feed that is really feeding the frenzy. His newly-minted Twitter account has only been up for two weeks and he already has over 2.5 million followers. Not that Sheen is tweeting anything particularly fascinating ("I love the smell of Napalm in the morning?"). But he signed up with Ad.ly to tweet endorsements, a move that could potentially make him some cash (his paid intern tweet is already legendary). Hey- maybe his Twitter rampages aren't so stupid after all.

Courtney Love- The Hole lead singer found herself in hot water recently after she went on a Twitter attack against a fashion designer. The result? Love was ordered to pay a $430,000 settlement to Dawn Simorangkir after posting a nasty, name-calling series of tweets that defamed the designer. This over a $4000 payment that Love apparently owed the designer. Wouldn't it have been easier just to pay for the outfit?

Spencer Pratt-The former "Hills" troublemaker had a bad year in 2010- he and wife Heidi Montag were supposedly estranged- and it played out on Twitter. From spouting racial slurs to his online attacks on former "Hills" castmates like Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge, Pratt had major Twitter potty mouth. He even dared to get into a Twitter war with acid tongued blogger, Perez Hilton. But just as he was topping Hollywood's Most Hated list, Pratt toned things down as he and Montag reconciled. Now he takes to tweeting about Charlie Sheen, the one guy in Hollywood who actually makes him look good.

Jose Canseco- The former baseball pro- and current "Celebrity Apprentice" contestant- is known for his tweets that border on the ridiculous . He has aired his dirty girlfriend laundry via Twitter (oh why do celebs do that?) and last year posted a series of tweets lamenting the demise of his former baseball career (one particularly depressing tweet: "I will show everyone that steroids are completely overrated once I get the chance to play again. all I need is the chance"). While he'd rather be playing ball, we're glad Donald Trump has at least given him a chance.

Jim Carrey- After he and longtime love Jenny McCarthy called it quits back in 2010, comedian Jim Carrey had a bit of a meltdown- at least on Twitter. His inexplicable #Boing hashtag had fans wondering what the heck he was talking about (sample tweets: "RRRefuse 2 define BOING! 1 day when you've given up your need 2 explain it and file it neatly away, #BOING...you will understand!" and "Put some #Boing on that sandwich and let me have a bite!"). A year later, inquiring minds still want to know.
