5 Celebrity Beauty Tricks

We all know that movie stars and celebrities have access to the best of everything. They can afford a personal trainer. They can hire someone to cook and clean. They hope stylists to dress them and they frequent the most luxurious spas. Every whimsy can be indulged.

Celebrities always look great because they can. Unfortunately, most of us can't compete on their level. That doesn't mean; however, that we can't steal a few of their beauty tricks. After all, everyone wants to look his or her best every single day.

Here are some of the stars' beauty secrets that you can try for yourselves.

Catherine Zeta Jones is arguably one of the most beautiful Hollywood stars of all time. One of her assets that most women covet is her beautiful, shiny hair. Luckily, it is possible to copy her beauty secret because it can be found right in the kitchen pantry - - olive oil.

Catherine uses it as a hair conditioner. If you want to do the same, simply heat a few tablespoons (enough to cover your hair length) in the microwave. After you have shampooed and towel dried your hair, work the warm oil into the scalp.

Pull the oil through the hair with a wide tooth comb and then cover the head with a shower cap for 5 to 10 minutes. All that is left to do is rinse, dry, and style as usual for shiny hair just like Catherine Zeta Jones.

Dazzling Drew Barrymore treats the skin on her entire body the same way she treats her beautiful face. Because she is often called upon to wear something skimpy on film, she makes certain her skin always looks and feels soft, smooth, and supple.

To maintain her ever-youthful look, Drew exfoliates her skin regularly with a loofah sponge and uses moisturizers and sunscreens to protect and help make it look its best every single day.

Miss Barrymore particularly likes moisturizers that are packed with vitamin C like those carried by The Body Shop. The cost is around $20.

Oprah Winfrey makes no bones about wearing Spanx, an undergarment slimmer. In fact she once chose the shapewear as one of her "Favorite Things."

Oprah's not alone in the Spanx corner either, lots of celebrities swear they never go out without their Spanx. Invented by Sara Blakely, the undergarment started off as a slimmer for hips and thighs. Now Spanx offers a variety of slimming garments to cover just about any trouble area on the body.

Even youngsters like Lindsay Lohan appreciate the extra support that Spanx offers. You can enjoy it too for between $20 and $100 (depending on the garment chosen). Check out QVC for a full range of Spanx products.

Susan Lucci keeps her youthful appearance with her own skincare line called Youthful Essence. The kit contains everything you need: a microdermabrasion wand, exoliating crystals, moisturizer, toner, and skin cleanser.

To dimish the aging signs of fine lines and wrinkles, La Lucci (as she is affectionately known) uses the microdermabrasion wand and crystals two or three times a week. To maintain her soft, supple, glowing youthful skin Susan cleanses, tones, and moisturizers between treatments.

La Lucci sells her Youthful Essence line online and with the Home Shopping Network (HSN). Kits begin at $29.95

Red headed beauty, Nicole Kidman, doesn't depend on hair dye to keep her gleaming tresses looking bright and beautiful. She just uses cranberry juice. You can do the same, one of two ways.

Wash and condition your hair as you normally would and then rinse it with pure cranberry juice. Catch the juice in a bowl and continuing rinsing it throughout the hair several times to get the red highlights you crave. Use a blow dryer to intensity the look or let the hair dry naturally.

Another way to achieve the same result is to put the juice, mixed with one part water and two parts juice, into a spray bottle. Spray it onto the hair and sit in the sun for about 30 minutes for glorious looking red streaks.

While most of us will never become celebrities on our own, we certainly can enjoy some of their tricks of the trade. I'm up for it, how about you?
