Christmas Movie Releases #1 - Tron: Legacy
This Walt Disney movie starring Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, and Olivia Wilde is an action adventure flick that centers around the video game industry. Kevin Flynn, played by veteran actor Bridges, is a top video game developer whose mysterious disappearance empowers his son Sam (played by Hedlund) to search for him. The search takes Sam on a journey deep inside the video game world where his dad has been trapped for over 20 years. Quorra (played by Wilde) is a mighty video game warrior who comes to the aid of the father and son. The film is presented in 3-D and is sure to have cool visuals throughout.
Tron: Legacy will be released December 17th.
Christmas Movie Releases #2 - Little Fockers
Following in the footsteps of Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers, Little Fockers carries on the story of Greg Focker (played by Ben Stiller) and his wife, Pam (played by Teri Polo) and is set around the birthday party of their twins. The relationship between Greg and Pam's father (played by Robert Di Niro) has always been rather tumultuous and this third movie is no different providing humor along the way. The all-star cast also includes: Barbra Streisand, Dustin Hoffman, Owen Wilson, Jessica Alba, Laura Dern and Harvey Keitel.
Little Fockers will be released December 22nd.
Christmas Movie Releases #3 - Gulliver's Travels
One of my favorite stories as a child comes to the movie screen this December starring Jack Black. Gulliver's Travels is the story of Lemuel Gulliver, a travel writer from Manhattan who finds himself lost in the Bermuda Triangle and stranded on the island of Lilliput where he is captured by the residents who are tiny in size. Gulliver eventually wins the residents over and enjoy being "looked up to." The 3-D movie also stars Jason Segal and Emily Blunt and with it's modern day references is sure to have audiences laughing.
Gulliver's Travels will be released on December 22nd.
Christmas Movie Releases #4 - True Grit
True John Wayne fans should be happy with the casting of Jeff Bridges in the role of Marshal Reuben J. Cogburn. Bridges is an excellent choice for the gruff "Rooster" Cogburn who helps a young lady in the search to find her father's killer. The cast also includes Matt Damon and Josh Brolin.
True Grit will be released on December 22nd.
Christmas Movie Releases #5 - How Do You Know
Reese Witherspoon stars as former softball player in this romantic comedy who finds herself caught up in a love triangle with a basketball player and a suit-wearing corporate type. This star-studded cast includes Owen Wilson, Paul Rudd and Jack Nicholson.
How Do You Know will be released December 17th.
Other Christmas movie releases include:
Chronicles of Narnia, December 10th
The Tourist, December 10th
Yogi Bear, December 17th
Casino Jack, December 17th
The Rabbit Hole, December 17th
Somewhere, December 22nd
The Illusionist, December 25th
