5 Christmas-Themed TV Series Episodes You Should Watch This Season

Set your DVR! It's time to get into the Christmas spirit, and -in my house, anyway- that includes some holiday-themed television programming.

When you're all Grinched out, have already seen Heat Miser and Snow Miser twice this year (and "Rudolph" a few times more!) why not turn to some classic TV sitcoms to relive some old school Christmas memories?

And while some networks run Christmas episode marathons (or the cleverly titled Merrython), this season you may have to hunt and peck the cable networks to find the best mix of old shows.

With old school classics like "Happy Days" and "The Wonder Years" running in syndication this holiday season (they aren't every year), this is a great year to catch some old holiday episodes on TV.

Here are 5 Christmas-themed television episodes you should watch this season:

"Happy Days"- Guess Who's Coming to Christmas. Talk about old school! In this episode the Cunningham family has 3 kids: Rickie, Joanie....and Chuck? Chuck inexplicably disappeared from the series, but not before this early episode that featured a lonely Fonzie joining the Cunningham clan for a traditional Christmas Eve.
Where to find it: Hub, December 20th, 10:30 p.m. ET

"Bewitched"- Humbug Not To Be Spoken Here.
This episode features the great character actor Charles Lane as stingy Mr. Mortimer, a Scrooge-like client of Darren's. But Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery) decides to take him on a whirlwind tour of the North Pole to rediscover the magic of Christmas. Nothing like a little witchcraft over the holidays.
Where to Find It: TV Land, December 25th, 3:00 p.m. ET. Or watch it- and two more "Bewitched" Christmas episodes ("A Vision of Sugarplums" and "Sisters at Heart") - on the TV Land website.

"Wonder Years"- Christmas
While Kevin (Fred Savage) agonizes over finding that perfect Christmas present for her his crush, Winnie, she outdoes him - in a very simple way. In addition to this great Christmas episode, other classic
"Wonder Years" Christmas episodes like "Christmas Party", "A Very Cutlip Christmas" and "Let Nothing You Dismay" all air on the Hub network this season as well.
Where to find it: Hub, December 20th, 9:00 p.m. ET

"Little House on the Prairie"- Christmas at Plum Creek. Yes, this episode from 1974 is a tearjerker. Young Laura Ingalls (Melissa Gilbert) makes the ultimate sacrifice in order to buy her mother a Christmas present. Keep the Kleenex handy.
Where to find it: The Hallmark Channel, December 22nd, 3:00 p.m. ET

"The Brady Bunch"- The Voice of Christmas. It's back to the Christmas of 1969 and Mike and Carol Brady's very first Christmas together with their Brady Bunch. This episode, nearly always part of TV Land's annual Merrython, isn't part of the lineup this season because the show is not currently running on TV Land. But it's such a rarely seen "Brady" episode that if you haven't caught it over the holidays in recent years, it's worth the hunt.

Great picks, Victoria! Not sure I would name "Little House" a sitcom, though.
