There are two schools of thought when it comes to eating fewer calories. You can either eat a lot of a food that tastes terrible, or a little of a food that tastes pretty darn good. This article falls into the second category, while trying to be as health-conscious as possible.
Who eats this stuff, really?
Yogurt? An apple? That's not dessert. Let's skip to the good stuff.
Fruit (that tastes good)
Watermelon, pineapple, blueberries, bananas. Many diets tell you to stay away from these fruits because they contain lots of sugar. But they also have a lot of water in them (which is good for your skin), and many fruits immune system boosting vitamins.
Graham Crackers
Each rectangular cracker has only 59 calories each (that's the large rectangle as packaged, not the four smaller ones that you have to break apart). You could eat six squares of these for under 200 calories, feel satisfied, and still fit into your size four's. Not bad!
Jell-O and Jell-O Pudding
One serving of Jell-O has only about 80 calories. That's half a cup of Jell-O for under a hundred calories! Not bad. Top it with your favorite whipped topping -- mine is Cool Whip -- for a mere 25 additional calories.
Alternatively, you could have a Jell-O Pudding snack; the individually packaged servings are only 130 calories a piece. Chocolate pudding, chocolate fudge, butterscotch, vanilla pudding, banana crème -- there are so many flavors, it's hard to choose!
Oreos
You remember how delicious Oreos are, right? That crunchy cookie, the creamy center. For a mere 160 calories you can have three Oreos. Enjoy with a glass of skin or (gasp!) 2% milk.
Dunkin Donuts
Munchkins (donut-holes) only have 60 calories each. With that in mind, pick up a six-pack of your favorite flavors: Glazed Chocolate Cake, Cinnamon Cake, Powdered Cake or Jelly filled. Delicious!
Remember: portion control. The key here is you must NOT eat the whole bag/box. Eat to be not hungry. Eat to live, do not live to eat. Now get out there and be happy!
