5 of the Easiest Final Bosses in the History of Video Games

Is that Mario? Oh Look Bowser is Crying Again

Nicholas Ward
There is nothing more disappointing then a game that has a lousy ending, except maybe, a game with a lousy boss and a lousy ending. When it comes to the worst and easiest bosses ever, Mario pretty much takes the cake. I could name every Mario game to make a list of 5 easy bosses, but instead I'll use just one in this list of the easiest bosses ever, you'll have to read on to find out what the other four are.

Number one easiest boss of all time: Bowser In Mario Bros

Bowser has a long history of being a pushover as the plumber Bros somehow manage to thwart his every attempt at capturing poor princess Peach. There is a lesson to be learned here Bowser... Just give up, she doesn't love you anymore.

In the first Mario Bros. fighting Bowser became second nature, with a conflict landing at the end of every level. The last Mario game I really played 'Mario 64' wasn't much better. Bowser showed his face several times, only to be spun like a top, and thrown back into the lava every single time.

Second easiest boss of all time: Egg Man (DR. Robotnic)

The biggest push over in the industry, second only to Bowser, DR. Robotnic is one of the easiest bosses you will ever encounter. Though it may take some time to catch the routine. In every game he appears in he always follows a set pattern, and simply using the same methods you can easily thwart his evil schemes. Though you haven't really beaten the game unless you collected all of the chaos emeralds.

Third easiest boss of all time: DR. Wily and his abominations

DR. Wily after 8 games, and with a 9Th to be released for the Wii, is still up to his same old tricks, but with every game mega man gets stronger, and Wily gets a little bit weaker. I guess that's why they had to create Sigma, and evolve the series into the 'X factor' -- little bit of humor --

Fourth easiest boss of all time: King of the Demons in DOOM

The Final boss in doom has always been a joke... If you can circle strafe you can kill every boss in doom with ease and that goes for newer dooms as well. The problem, while the boss is easy you are often under attack by an onslaught of minions while you fight him making things 'a little bit' more challenging.

Fifth easiest boss of all time: Final Fantasy 1, Chaos

This boss is extremely weak, if you have trained your four character party well. All you really need is one white mage to heal every other round, and you are gravy. This is one of the easiest boss fights you will ever encounter in a Final Fantasy game, so do not be fooled into believing they are all like this.

Easiest bosses of all time: Closing

That pretty much sums it up if any boss has the name DR. in it, you can likely rest assured he's a push over and Bowser was born a joke, will die a joke, and he even cried cause he couldn't win in Mario RPG. Final Fantasy 1 is the only Final Fantasy game I've seen such an easy boss in... well maybe FFX..

  • Final Fantasy 1 was remade for the Neo Geo Pocket then the PSX.
  • Bowser has a long standing history of being a pushover just watch the cartoons.
  • Peach is also know as Princess Toadstool in some games.
Beating bowser on the Mario 64 is easily done, all you have to do is get behind him a few times just like the bombomb bosses. Once behind him, spin him around a few time by rotating the joystick, and release to throw him into a mine.

Thanks for making me remember those. I wasted all that time for what now?

When one thinks of Mario Bros. 1, one rarely thinks of the arcade version, because it was not titled as Mario 1, it was simply titled 'Mario bros.' Few people even know of this games existence due to it's very early release in 83 just 2 years before I was even born and prior even to the days of the NES, and those who truly appreciated the game in all it's glory had the opportunity to replay it on the later Mario bros entitled 'Super Mario Bros. 1' Only certain versions included this mini game that was a tribute to the original arcade version of Mario Bros. In 'Super Mario Brothers 1' each level consisted of several stages which would end with a castle stage, where you ultimately meet up with bowser over a bridge slinging fireballs at your head.

Super Mario bros. for the NES, not the arcade game... but I guess if you want to go into semantics. The true Mario bros. was an arcade game, and consisted of nothing more then a POW in the middle a multi tiered arena. Also Mario 64 was the last Mario game I played, because I got tired of Mario ;)

"In the first Mario Bros, fighting Bowser became second nature..."

In the game "Mario Bros" there was no fight with Bowser, or boss fights at all.

"The last Mario game I really played 'Mario 64'"

That game was released FOURTEEN YEARS AGO. There have been 5 Mario platformer games released since then!
