5 Easiest Video Game Boss Fights of All Time
These Fights Are so Easy, it Makes You Feel like the Bad Guy
1. Super Metroid (SNES)
The end to this exciting Samus game has you fighting Mother Brain, who is essentially a brain in a jar who has lost the ability to fight thanks to your sacrificing Metroid friend. The battle is so easy that you'll be sure to think that it's a fake-out sub boss. But no, this is the ending boss fight to this game and it's practically impossible to die. That having been said, it is still an exciting fight that is very well done--the developers just forgot to make it a challenge.
2. Kirby Dream Land (Gameboy)
This video game was the first in the Kirby series and was originally designed for young gamers. As a result, despite how addictively fun it is, it is a game that is essentially a walk through the park. The first boss, the tree that throws apples at you, is so easy that a four year old could probably defeat him by accident. Still, this game ushered in a new era of awesome Kirby gameplay, so it is hard to find fault with it.
3. Oblivion (PS3, Windows, XBox 360)
In Oblivion you have the power to decide how to play the game, whether you want to be a knight in shining armor or the guy that everyone flees from when he walks into town. Regardless of how you chose to play, at some point you'll be interested in seeing the ending of the game. The only problem is, it turns out that the final boss isn't even fought by you. The Emperor and a four-armed gigantic demon duke it out while you sit on the sidelines sipping your $4 coke and waving a little flag. A bit disappointing if you expected a real fight.
4. Final Fantasy X (Playstation 2)
At the end of Final Fantasy X you defeat Tidus, the main character's father, and then go after Yevon, who is essentially the god of the land. You would expect a battle with such a notable figure to be epic, but unfortunately it is nothing of the sort. Just cast Life on the magical light and he is instantly killed. I suppose it makes sense now why something of such infinite power would be afraid to go outside.
5. Metal Gear (NES)
The Metal Gear Solid series is noted for its difficult bosses, but the first game in the series didn't exactly fit the mold. The final boss is a computer that Snake takes out with some explosives, then followed by a fight with the big Boss, which considering you at this point have long range explosives on you is no big deal. Typically older games tend to be more difficult, so it's interesting to see one that is such a breeze at the end.
