Did you notice that kids are getting restless and bored? This time of year they may be missing school, teachers and their friends. They are ready to start a new chapter in their life. They want everything to be new. New book bags, new clothes, new shoes, and even new pen and pencils. What are the things attracting their attention? Ads and signs announcing sales for back-to-school supplies and clothes? Yes, it's time to start thinking about shopping for school.

According to a survey by the National Retail Federation, this depressing economy is changing spending habits of many families.This year 85% of shoppers are expected to reduce their spending. People are focusing on deep discounts and strong deals.

Here are some ideas to minimize the spending:

1.Create a list with your children:

Decide what you are going to buy. Explain them to start picking with the basic items. You're the decider on your budget so don't include irrelevant items, suggested by children.

Explore the many possibilities available for savings. Watch the weekly sales in the papers, and sign up for e-mail from your favorite online discount sites. Take your children to dollar stores to buy their desired things at reasonable prices.

5. Simple living, high thinking: you can still find good deals and fashion at rock-bottom prices, if you are willing to do the research! So start your supply hunt with these tips.
