1. NEDAwareness Week 2010: February 21st - 27th
The theme this year will be: "It's Time To Talk About It." The goal with NEDAwareness Week is to help prevent eating disorders and issues with body image, while decreasing the black mark that goes along with eating disorders and boosting access to available treatments. It is important for people with these disorders to realize they are merely disorders, and are not choices. Registration to this event is free. Some sponsors for this event include: Rader Programs, Rogers Memorial Hospital, CRC Health, Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt, and McCallum Place. 2. Annual NEDA Conference 2010: October 8th-10th in New York, NY
The theme this year will be: "Building Bridges to Recovery." The goal of the Annual NEDA Conference is to concentrate on the needs of individuals and families of those influenced by eating disorders. It is also a great chance for such individuals and families to gather and meet others, share their stories, and be able to do so in a warm and welcoming environment. Some sponsors for this event include: Rader Programs, Rogers Memorial Hospital, CRC Health, Cambridge Eating Disorder Center, and Remuda Ranch.
3. NEDA Walk
So far, for 2010, there are no walks planned. But stay tuned, the walks for 2009 did not start until late February/early March. The NEDA Walk is a walk-a-thon fundraiser supporting NEDA (National Eating Disorders Association). It is non-competitive and is a community event. Registrations for the NEDA walk can be done online. 4. New York Benefit Dinner
This events location and date have not been announced yet. For more info, please keep checking NEDA's website, posted here. This is an annual fund-raising event.
5. Seattle Winter Event 2010: February 18th
