Reason #1
For years, Spoelstra's coaching ability have been challenged. He was called on his lack of experience two-year ago as a rookie head coach. Years later, the love affair between Spoelstra and basketball fans continues to be non-existent. His rotation has always baffled fans leading to the belief that he may not be the man for the job as Miami Heat's head coach. His approach suggests that he is experimenting most of the time rather actually coaching the team towards a successful outcome. For fans, this has been extremely frustrating to watch.
Reason #2
His style of coaching leaves many believing that he really has no idea what he is doing on or off the basketball court. One of the strongest points that Spoelstra's coaching may not be the best is the teams dreadful track record this season alone. The Miami Heat team lost four of their five games in this season alone. This is not the record of a winning coach or team. The Miami Heat's team 9-8 record says it all. This coach definitely falls into the category of a coach that may not be the best for his team.
Reason #3
Spoelstra lacks the control or inability to get his team fired up and more passionate about the game on court. More recent games show a very frustrated Spoelstra who can not seem to get the team on a consistent winning track.
Reason #4
Spoelstra was believed to be the kind of coach players want to play for and respect. The fans think quite a different thing when it comes to his ability to rally the team and strategize play. Miami Heat's multiple losses to élite teams is yet another reason this embattled coach is not the best according to his critics and the basketball fans.
Reason #5
The critics and fans are not the only ones frustrated with Spoelstra's coaching style and team performance. Reportedly, Miami Heat's players are also frustrated with Erik Spoelstra. The matter of his suitability for the team has many Miami Heat players thinking differently about the coach the once believed in and played for. According to a source, some Heat players are also questioning if he is the right coach for the team or whether the team would benefit from a new coach instead.
Do you agree with the popular consensus who want Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra fired?
