5 Facts About McDonald's

Bridget Ilene Delaney
McDonald's always seems to be the top restaurant in the United States. It is usually at the top of the Stock Market for restaurants and it seems to be the most known restaurant. Many people eat at McDonald's every day. You may enjoy McDonald's. However, you may want to reconsider eating there, or at least eating there so many times, once you know these facts.

The Food from McDonald's Is Sweet

The food from McDonald's is sweet, and this is not using the word sweet as a slang word like cool meaning something good or enjoyable. The food from McDonald's is literally sweet. No matter what restaurants say, there are only nine foods on the McDonald's menu that do not have sugar in them. McDonald's claims of having healthy food are not true.

The Fries Are Really Sweet

McDonald's fries can taste really good, especially when they are fresh. However, one of the reasons that they taste so good is that McDonald's coats their fries with sugar so they get a golden-brown color when they are fried. Burger King does the same thing.

McDonald's Is Known Before Language Is Known

It has been found that children recognize the golden arches of a McDonald's before they learn to speak. McDonald's has to advertise like any business, so it is understandable that they want the restaurant to be recognized. If parents don't want their children to recognize the restaurant so readily, they need to limit visits to the restaurant.

McDonald's Gives People Appropriate Names

It is not sensitive, but McDonald's calls people who eat at their restaurant more than once a week "heavy users." While this is not sensitive, it seems appropriate. Nutritionists say that McDonald's should not be visited more than once a week. This probably means that a restaurant should not be visited more than once a week.

McDonald's Is Different in India

If you visit a McDonald's and order a hamburger, you expect to get a beef patty on a bun with whatever other toppings come on the burger. However, in India, cows are sacred. This means that McDonald's does not use beef patties in India. Instead, burgers are made with mutton.

McDonald's shouldn't be visited once a MONTH, let alone a week- ha ha- a large fry is like 1,000 calories! That's more than I eat in a day in just a container of fries! Plus, their food is gross- I don't like fast food in general, although I do have a thing for Taco Time a few times a year

I was amazed in Buenos Aires to see people getting dressed up to go to McDonald's. The one I went to (one time) had a waterfall in it.
