Here are my favorite free computer program downloads and what they do:

ZipGhost: This program unzips multiple zip archives at one time. If you have multiple files in a folder, select them all, right click on them (Windows XP, anyway), and then in the popup menu select the Extract here command, and all of the zip files automatically extract.

FileZilla: It can log in via FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to your web host and upload numerous files at once, or even download a backup of your site. FileZilla likes to disconnect after the task you told it to do is done, whether it is an upload or a download. Here is how to keep a connection: Go to Edit > Settings, then in the window that comes up, note Connection, and underneath it in the menu, FTP. To the right in the dialog box, Checkmark the box that says "Send FTP keep-alive commands." You're set! You will remain connected when your upload is complete. Five or ten minutes later when you need to upload again, you will not have to reconnect to your website with FileZilla.

Opera: This web browser is extremely versatile for multitasking web surfers. It is a multi-tab browsing system. When you call up a new page, you can actually choose a presaved website from Quick Dial. When it is time to go to bed, you can save your browsing session, even if you have 10 to 20 tabs open, for some other time when you get back on the computer, instead of staying up half the night. If the computer shuts down accidentally, like you kick the cord, or there is an electric storm, then whatever was in the browser tabs will come back up again when you open the browser again.

WebCeo: This web submission program can submit to about a hundred search engines, and you can choose quite easily whether or not you want to go International, or just to the United States, or to Canada. You can save your session and automatically resubmit your site on a monthly basis.

SysSense: This small download counts your Adsense earnings and pops up with a message when you have more ad impressions or some earnings. You can customize it to come up with a .wav sound so as to tend to other things when out of the room.

OnlyWire: This program can promote your blog to over 50 social networks and this can be either via Wordpress plugin or via a downloadable program.
