5 Great Alternatives to the iPhone

Not everyone can afford an Android Phone - much less an iPhone. No matter how much some of us hate to admit it, we can't always be on the cutting edge of technology. For those unable to ride the trend, but still are eager for access to similar features, there are alternatives to Android phones.

1. Belkin G

Some of us only want an Android phone for its array of wireless media and internet capabilities. For those of us with a desire to surf, utilize, and access the net from anywhere in the house- I suggest the Belkin G Wireless Router. As opposed to $100 routers, the Belkin G comes at the bargain price of $40 and works expertly. All you'll need is a Nintendo DSi, Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, or a laptop and you'll have the internet at your fingers with 400 feet of speedy wireless access. For those interested in more cutting edge features from the iPhone, the Archos 7 8G Home Tablet might be for you. The Archos 7 is a very affordably home tablet that'll run you about $199. There's a certain charm to having an iPhone that some people simply can't ignore. Some claim this is merely a testament to their quality, while most acknowledge this is simply an effect of a powerful marketing campaign. The HP Envy will be adored by the second group. Rather than riding a wave of hype and advertising, it just gets the job done. The HP Envy is no slouch- it's performance its top-notch and its technical specs are highly impressive and trumps any Android phone with relative ease. It's Achilles' Heel? The price. 4. Nintendo DSi (or 3DS)

Some want to purchase an Android phone solely for the games and the ability to surf the net. For these people, I suggest you invest in a Nintendo Dsi for $150. With the DSi, you have access to Nintendo's immense exclusive library of games across every genre. You'll be able to play the likes of Mario Kart DS, Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, Metroid Prime: Hunters, Children of Mana, and so many more. And, thanks to the free Opera web browser, you're one wi-fi signal anyway from the internet. Or, if you feel like waiting a while, just wait for the Nintendo 3DS. 5. Disney MP3 Player & Disney Portable DVD Player

This awesome combination gives you the ability to listen to MP3s and CDs- while also allowing you to view DVDs and photo discs. The Mickey Mouse MP3 player is very trendy, very energy efficient, and very inexpensive- you can find one for about $10.
