1) Underarm sweating-
Do name brand antiperspirants not work for you? Are deodorants the same? There is one antiperspirant that you may have seen in a quick commercial but overlooked. Why? Because you thought, "Pssh, just another hinky dink product." Certain Dri is no hinky dink product. Certain Dri antiperspirant gives you 72 hour protection, even after you have taken a shower. How is this possible? Certain Dri's formula and its 12% content of aluminum chloride, found in other antiperspirants. Certain Dri is designed to treat excess perspiration and is arguably the best antiperspirant you will ever purchase. Throw out your Degree and Secret deodorant if they have not been doing the job. Certain Dri can be found in stores. It is applied at night before bed, not directly after bathing or shaving. Just apply a few strokes. Let it dry. With several uses, you will begin to notice Certain Dri's ability to treat excess perspiration very effectively.
2) Powder eyeshadow falls off, or your eyelids are too oily
Eyeshadow sometimes will not last because they are a powder, or because you have oily skin and then it creates that awful line crease. There are products called eyeshadow primers that you put on before you put on your eyeshadow to prevent this from happening. You get longer wear and a smoother appication. Sometimes these eye-primers are expensive. Urban Decay's Eye Shadow Primer Potion may cost you $17 if you buy it on the net, but it contains silicone, which while is good for smoother application, some do not like the idea of putting a product with silicone over their eyes. The solution? Make your own eyeshadow primer at home. This method comes to you from designer "pincstuff", whose Youtube video link will be provided at the end of this article.
You will need:
Tiny sample jar
Toothpick
Popsicle stick
Liquid foundation or concealer
White body butter
Steps:
1) Put one part concealer into jar, and one part body butter with popsicle stick.
2) Stir well. You may want to use popsicle stick to stir well.
3) Let it sit for a little.
This homemade eye primer holds up pretty well. It is not as lasting as the eye primer potion when it comes to water, but if you want a long-lasting effect and plan to stay away from water, this may be for you.
3) How to Make your Nose appear thinner in pictures
Apply to both sides of your nose a darker shade of powder or foundation. The key here is to blend. Blend the darker colour outwards. Make sure no lines are evident. If you have a wide nose, this will make it look slimmer. It is a tactic Tyra Banks uses very often. Next, apply the lighter shade of power or foundation on the bridge of your nose in order to highlight the centre and thinner part. You may also want to consider doing other things to take away attention from your nose. Play up your eyes a lot with makeup or do a great hairstyle that detracts from your nose. With all these working together, your nose should appear thinner.
4) Make your hair grow faster
Oxygen carries blood to different parts of the body. If your body is not breathing, growth is compromised. So, how do you make sure your scalp is getting the oxygen it needs? One word: massage it. You massage everywhere else, your legs when they are cramping, your shoulders when they are in pain. Why not your scalp? Provided that you do not have any underlying conditions that stunt or slow hair growth, what most people need is to massage their scalp daily to see a difference in the rate at which hair grows from the scalp. One of the keys to longer hair, when YOU want it, is the rate in which it grows, so massage your scalp 5-10 minutes everyday. The base of your scalp often undergoes a lot of pressure from tight hair bands, handerkerchiefs, and the like. Massage there for a few minutes before bedtime, moisturize the hair, braid it separately and pin it up loosely. You are likely to see a hair growth difference, and for even better overall effect of noticing a quicker, stronger, healthier growth, be sure to get rid of bad split ends which can split all the way up to the scalp.
5) Shoes are too small! How to Stretch Your Shoes With Ice
So, you bought a pair of leather shoes that squeeze your feet. You go to a store to buy a great pair of shoes, but the only pair left is one size too small. You may not need to ditch the shoe completely. You can stretch them at home with ice. Credit for this method goes to "Michellephan" on youtube. Her link is at the end of this article.
*You may need to repeat this step more than once with fake leather shoes because fake leather tends to shrink back to its original size.
Steps:
1) Get two ziplock sandwich bags and fill them a quarter way with water.
2) Put them in the soul of the shoe, pulling them through the open toe part if there is one.
3) Place the shoes in the freezer and wait until the water turns to ice.
4) Leave it out to thaw for a good 20 minutes.
5) Remove the ice packs after thawing. It should slide out easily. A little bit of water should not damage your shoes.
"This method should stretch the shoe a half size or a maximum of one full size", says Michelle Phan whose experiment is cited here.
We all go through daily woes that need a little tlc. Hopefully these tips and suggestions work for you.
