5 Great Places to Meet a Guy

I find that I have the least success in meeting guys when I'm at parties or bars. Why? Because there are fifty other girls in the same bar as me with the same goal I have, to meet a nice guy. And the other girls are blonde and a cup size larger, and men, being blind and foolish as they are, will gravitate towards the buxom blonde and later complain about what an airhead she is. It's like, hello? Didn't you only talk to her because you were drawn to her cleavage? Who's the airhead, honestly?

Take off all my makeup, throw me into a plain t-shirt and some sweatpants, have me running around, minding my own business and doing errands, and boom, I'm meeting guys left and right! I think it's because I'm in my most natural and relaxed state and I am not as intimidating when I'm alone doing my laundry as I am dressed up in black dress, holding a martini, surrounded by my posse of girls. 5) The Drive Thru-yes, drive-thru restaurants are the hot spot. Why? You're waiting in line in your car, the guy behind you has placed his order, he's bored, so what does he do? He looks around. Of course he notices you, (the girl in front of him) in your car, and you are also bored, so you're doing something like singing in your car or fixing your ponytail, and for some inexplicable reason, the guy finds it absolutely mesmerizing. Then he does something random like placing his car in park and running over to your window to chat and gets your number. Boom! You've just met a guy...at the Taco Bell drive-thru.

4) The Gas Station-You're pumping your gas, washing your windows in some tights jeans with minimal makeup on. Your only thought is to get the hell out of there because you simply hate pumping your gas. He is at the pump opposite you, checking you out, hoping that you lean over your windshield one more time. He then works up the courage to talk to you, often by using some macho line such as, "Your rear tire looks a little flat. Want me to take a closer look at it?" He tries to make it sound like you need his help, when all he really wants to do is talk to you. Typical male, what can you do?

3) The Parking Lot-Every place has a parking lot, and you always have to walk to your car from a store or business. The guy may be walking out of the same place, or he may be getting out of his truck just as you're getting into your car. It doesn't matter. The parking lot is kind of like the runway. He gets to watch your body move and see how you walk. And he gets to chase after you to get your phone number.
*A guy is really determined if he chases your car after you've started to drive away. (I've had this happen to me)

2) The Grocery Store-Everyone eats food, so everyone has to go grocery shopping at some point, right? You're bound to run into a cute guy while in line, while navigating the multiple aisles, or even while pushing your cart to the parking lot. And for some reason, the sight of a girl sizing up fruit in the fresh produce section is apparently appealing to the male gender.

1) The Laundromat-This is the top place to meet someone. I have met multiple guys at various laundromats throughout town, including an ex-boyfriend. For some reason, there's something comforting and relaxing about a laundromat. Also, there's a lot of down time, in which you're both just kind of hanging out, waiting for the load to finish before you put it in the dryer. Naturally, a conversation strikes up. It may start out with him asking if you have four quarters for a dollar bill, or if he can use some of your detergent. And any excuse for a guy to catch a glimpse of your undergarments as you fold them in always enticing.
