When eating at Fireside Grill, you don't have to worry about service. Donna and the other wait staffers will make sure your glass or cup stays full, that you get what you order the way you ordered it, and that you won't have to look at the dirty dishes. They'll remove dishes as soon as you are finished with them. The friendly, efficient crew at Fireside make eating there a pleasant experience.
Reason Two: Breakfast
Breakfast at Fireside Grill is the best in town. I heartily recommend the Mama's Special. Two eggs, bacon or sausage, served with biscuits and gravy or toast and potatoes. All for $3.25 If you're really hungry, the Hungry Man's Breakfast has it all. Three eggs and country cured ham served with biscuits and gravy or toast and potatoes. $6.50
The only problem with breakfast as Fireside Grill is that it isn't always possible to get a seat for breakfast. It's common knowledge that you can't get a better breakfast at any other restaurant in town.
Reason Three: Lunch Specials
Before it became Fireside Grill, it was Couch's BBQ The new owner kept the staff and much of the menu, including the Workman's Special. A regular BBQ Beef or Pork sandwich, fries and coleslaw.
Updates to the menu include the mini-specials. These are smaller portions of regular meals. Some of the mini-specials offered are catfish, chicken tenders and spaghetti. Meal and drink for $5.50
Reason Four: Dessert
Fireside Grill's homemade pies are absolutely delicious. If you go for lunch, consider ordering pie first, before they run out. $3.50 will get you a slice of cheesecake. $2.25 covers lemon, chocolate, coconut cream and other available pies.
Reason Five: Setting/Atmosphere
The remodeling of Couch's BBQ into Fireside Grill resulted in one nice update. New walls, new tile floors, western outdoor murals and paintings, and totally renovated bathrooms give Fireside a fresh face.
Seating areas aren't so close together that you feel crowded. There are booths and tables available in the upper seating area in front of the fireplace. Table seating is available in the lower seating area.
Fireside is a kid friendly restaurant with plenty of high chairs and a child's menu featuring chicken tenders, grilled cheese, spaghetti, burger, catfish, ribs, BBQ, or good old PB & J. The kid's menu prices range from $2.00 for PB & J to $4.75 for ribs.
Fireside Grill in Mountain Home, Arkansas offers great service and good food at reasonable prices. Breakfast and the homemade pies are the must-haves. You'll get the best service for breakfast and lunch. The next time you're in the Mountain Home or Twin Lakes area, check it out.
