5 Great Twin Cities Mexican Restaurants

The Twin Cities has a wealth of restaurants for every taste. I can say without a doubt that is one of the main reasons I love living here. You can find any number of ethnic choices to broaden your horizon. My favorite restaurants to eat at are Mexican restaurants, and below is a selection of my 5 favorite in the Twin Cities.

Ol' Mexico Restaurante: This is my all time favorite local Mexican restaurant. My great grandmother used to take me here frequently. The menu is great, it is affordable and you get very large portions. They always serve you with free chips and salsa when you arrive and throughout your meal and those warm chips can be addicting. To top off the wonderful food they have fast friendly service. If you're in Roseville make sure you stop and have a great meal.

El Bravo Mexican Restaurant: A great family friendly restaurant on Rice Street. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is wonderful as well. This is a great place to stop in on a lunch break with their authentic delicious menu and fast service you will be in out and your hunger satisfied before you know it.

Boca Chica Restaurante: Located on Concord Street in Saint Paul this restaurant is a perfect stop for Mexican food lovers. The overall feel of this restaurant is warm and welcoming weather it be a large family coming in for dinner or a local politician. The food is all made fresh daily, and they stray from traditional enchiladas and introduce you to some other Mexican foods. And when you have finished your dinner don't forget one of their chocolaty desserts.

Taco House: Head down to Wabasha in Saint Paul for a taste of the delicious at this restaurant. Some do compare it to the previously mentioned Boca Chica, and that would be a fair assesement. Taco house is smaller and more intimate however. And it is also more casual. The food is fresh and flavorful without being too much for your pallet.

La Cabana: Last but certainly not least you will find this restaurant located on 7th St E in Saint Paul. The fare at this restaurant is very authentic with a menu that boasts asada, carnitas, mojarra frita and lengua. You are sure to find something you will enjoy and find new and exciting. The staff is wonderful and will help you navigate the menu if you need a little bit of help like I did. Over all you can not miss La Cabana.
