5 Great Web Sites

SethCoder
There is alot of information out there on the internet. It can be overwhelming. Here's a couple of sites that keep the clutter to a minimum, provide a simple service and are interesting enough to keep you coming back.

You Tube Doubler http://www.youtubedoubler.com/
This site puts two videos from You Tube side by side and allows the submitter to start playing them from any point. There are some really interesting things already on the site and you can add your own simply by pasting in URLs. When I first visited this site I remember thinking, "Wow, this is so simple why hasn't it been done before now."

Digg http://digg.com/
This site brings together news headlines from around the world. The news could be from major news corporations or just some guy that put a cool picture on a website. Its a good quick scan of interesting headlines without having to dig into things yourself.

Fark http://www.fark.com/
Another great news compilation site, except the focus is on more bizarre news. This site is great because the submitters put their own funny headlines in place of the real ones. There is also a great community. The submitters sometimes ask the community to create photoshops of a provided picture, or other creative and funny things like that.

The Register http://www.theregister.co.uk/
Stay on top of technology from around the world. This site also has a greate feature called BOFH which is an amusing read. The Register is known for breaking stories about underhanded practices in the information technology industry.

Slashdot http://www.slashdot.org/
This site focuses on technology but on a more technical side that The Register. There are stories on Slashdot that are political but they revolve around technology.

You should take a couple of minutes and check these sites out, they are a good source of information and entertainment.
