5 Highly Creative and Fun Flash Games

And They're All Free

SM
Interactive Flash applications are coming a long way, and some of latest games really showcase that. The following games each have their own unique art direction and gameplay to be enjoyed. If you're going to kill some time with a Flash game, it might as well be in style!

Auditorium

Somehow this beautiful game manages to be very relaxing and somewhat challenging at the same time. Your goal is to direct glowing beams of "flow" across the screen. The flow needs to go through the goal areas for you to progress, and sometimes you'll need to change its color. All in all, trying to describe this game is pretty futile as it's quite an experience.

Phage Wars

Vaguely reminiscent of the first stage of EA's game Spore, Phage Wars challenges you to become a parasite and conquer your microscopic world. Before beginning your viral quest, you get to choose from eight parasites with varying amounts of strength, speed, and agility. Then you'll direct your chosen blob to victory by infecting cells on a series of small playing fields.

Bloons Tower Defense 3

You may have played tower defense before. The basic premise is to prevent an impending army from encroaching upon your territory by building defensive structures. There are a number of variations, and even a $20 full-blown 3D take on the game was just released by an Indie developer. Well, Bloons Tower Defense is cuter and cleverer. Why, you may ask? It has monkeys-monkeys that throw darts.

Mytheria

This sci-fi card game has an incredible variety of cards to choose from. Some of the content is right up there with the quality of Magic: The Gathering and other real life card games. It helps to set the game speed to fast so you can get through to see all those interesting creatures and modifiers available; and so you can get to build yourself an indestructible robot army, of course.

The Last Stand 2

Warning: this one is violent. As one of the last survivors of a zombie attack, you must hold your own through the night by using one of the game's numerous weapons to fend off the horde. The particularly creative aspect of the game is the fact that during the day, you get to go on some statistics-based scavenging missions to discover new weapons and fellow survivors to help you survive the next night.
