San Diego Zoo's Jungle Bells
The San Diego Zoo puts on a lively holiday event that your children are sure to enjoy. Jungle Bells features 12 holiday activities and entertainment located throughout the zoo. Activities range from a daily tree lighting to Dominique the Ice Queen carving amazing ice sculptures out of 300-pound blocks of ice with blowtorches and chainsaws to ice-skating on an eco-friendly polymer compound rink. Jungle Bells runs from December 12th through January 2. Ticket prices range from $27 (for children 3 to 11) to $37 for those 12 on up.

SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration
This holiday season, make SeaWorld San Diego a must visit on your vacation travel plans. The aquatic park pulls out all the stops to provide guests with a wonderful and festive experience. Holiday activities include: Shamu's Christmas show; a new live animal show called Christmas Tails; and a 4-D viewing of The Polar Express. Holiday events run November 26 through 28, and then weekends from December 4th through 12th and begins daily December 18th through December 31st. Prices start at $59 but many discounts are available by checking their website.

39th Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights
"The Sounds of Christmas" is the theme of the 39th annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights that kicks off Sunday, December 12. This beloved parade features fireworks and a one- to one-and-a-half hour holiday light procession. Best place to view this stunning parade: Harbor Island, but get there early as crowds arrive early.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Old Globe Theatre
Dr. Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" comes alive for the 13th year at the beautiful Old Globe Theatre in San Diego from November 20 through December 26. The Nutcracker at the San Diego Civic Theatre
The production of the "Nutcracker" presented at the San Diego Civic Theatre is the longest running production in San Diego. The "Nutcracker" is the perfect performance to introduce your children to the beauty of ballet as well as live performance. Make sure to stop by the Sugar Plum Parties immediately following afternoon performances for refreshments and a meet-and-greet with the cast. The Nutcracker runs from December 18th through December 21. Ticket prices range from $25 to $80.
