5 Lacking Features of the Great Motorola Photon 4G Smartphone
5 Features that Are Holding the Photon 4G Smartphone Back
The Motorola Photon 4G is one of the most noteworthy smartphones of 2011 and boasts great features such as great hardware, HD video and photo capturing, and excellent battery life, but the Photon 4G is far from perfect and sports these lacking features.
Large and Bulky Design
The Motorola Photon 4G boasts lots of great features, but they seem to come with a catch; a large and bulky smartphone. The Motorola Photon 4G sports a bulky 5" x 2.62" x 0.48" dimensions, and weighs a heavy 5.57 oz. While these measurements aren't as heavy as the original 1980's cell phones, it is still a bit too bulky and heavy by today's standards and fails to stack up to its closes competitors.
MotoBlur
While lots of Android fans are used to the beautiful HTC Sense interface provided on HTC Android smartphones, the MotoBlur interface of the Motorola Photon 4G leaves a lots of users wanting more. MotoBlur is less responsive, stylish, efficient, and functional as HTC Sense and is one of the main features holding this otherwise great smartphone back.
Poor Speakerphone
A smartphone's speakers are a feature that usually gets overlooked when ogling over the many other feature a smartphone provides, but when a smartphone has poor speakers it stands out like a sore thumb. The horrible speakers on the Motorola Photon 4G makes for troublesome hands-free speakerphone chatting and drains from the experience of listening to music, watching movies, playing games, and using apps that rely on audio.
Camera
It's ironic that one of the Motorola Photon 4G's most raved about features is also one of its most complained about features. The Motorola Photon 4G features a seemingly great 8 megapixel camera, but photos taken with the Photon 4G lack quality when compared to other smartphone's with a comparable camera '" and to make matters worse, the shutter of the Motorola Photon 4G can be downright annoying with the sound that it makes.
Display Quality
The Motorola Photon 4G features a large 4.3 inch LCD display with 540x960 pixels dimensions, but the overall feel of the Photon 4Gs touchscreen display is subpar. Some icons and images on the Motorola Photon 4G appear pixelated with this smartphone's 540x960 pixels dimensions, the touchscreen could be more responsive, and it's overall one of the main features holding the Photon 4G back.
