The Samsung Replenish is a niche smartphone for texting and instant messaging buffs, but although the Samsung Replenish comes with a low price tag, the cons overweigh the pros with this smartphone.
Cramped Keyboard
One of the main features of the Samsung Replenish smartphone is also one of its worst shortcomings; its tactile QWERTY keyboard. In theory the physical tactile keyboard of the Samsung Replenish was designed to make texting and messaging easier, but in practice it proves to be a bit cramped, slows typing down due to its small keys, and can wear your thumbs down.
Battery Time
Battery life sits high atop the list of most useful smartphone features and the battery life of the Samsung Replenish leaves way too much to be desired. At only 5.4 hours of advertised talk time, the battery of the Samsung Replenish will usually weigh in less than that once apps and other features are taken advantage of.
Camera Quality
At only $50, one can't really ask of much from the Samsung Replenish smartphone, but why do anything if it isn't done right. With 5, 8, 10, and 12 megapixel cameras being common nowadays, the paltry 2 megapixel camera offered on the Samsung Replenish makes one wonder why Samsung even bothered added a camera to this phone.
Cheaply Manufactured
Overall, the feel of the Samsung Replenish is a bit cheap. The camera is toy-like, the QWERTY keyboard isn't ergonomic, the screen is cramped and I can't help but fear that this phone wouldn't be able to survive a 2 feet fall. I get that budget phones are specialty and won't be of the same quality of more expensive phones, but even still, the Samsung Replenish comes off as a throw away phone.
No Flash
Not only is the hardware of the Samsung Replenish, but the software is a bit shoddy as well. In addition to lacking a wide array of apps, the Samsung Replenish also lacks the ability to run flash content within its browser. Flash is used for online games, websites, and popular video streaming sites and not having access to the Adobe Flash Player on the Samsung Replenish is a major feature that's seriously holding this phone back.
