5 Marvel Comics Character that Should Have Their Own Movies

J. Gordon
Black Widow.

This one may be coming soon. The Black Widow is being played by Scarlett Johansson in the new film, Iron Man 2. Her character should be ripe for a spinoff. The Black Widow (Natalia Romanova) is a Russian Secret Agent turned International Superspy. She is Alias meets The Superhero and has been operating in the Marvel Universe since the early 1960s. She could potentially be the female James Bond, which has spawned a few sequels of its own.

Iron Fist.

Imagine a dimension where a mystic temple trains the ultimate martial arts warriors. The greatest of these warriors must face the dreaded dragon of the realm. If the warrior defeats the dragon, he or is she is gifted with the iron fist. Danny Rand won such an honor, and has traveled back to his original realm - New York City - to battle the forces of evil. The sorcerous realm - K'un L'un - would be an awesome setting to see on the big screen, and the super-powered martial arts tournaments displayed would be an exciting part of any action film.

Morbius, The Living Vampire.

A man becomes a vampire through a scientific accident, and must fight his own demonic desires while battling the creatures of the night. With the popularity of vampires at the moment, this one seems like a no-brainer. Perhaps Morbius could even cross-over with one of Marvel's other popular vampiric characters - Blade.

Black Panther.

He is the King of Wakanda, a race of people located in Africa. However, the Wakandans are of an advanced science thanks to a locally-mined mineral called Vibranium. The Black Panther must protect his people against the constant threat of villains and others who try to attack his country for it's precious treasures. Super-powered battles in the middle of the jungle - just seeing a trailer might be enough!

Sub-Mariner.

Some say he is Marvel's Aquaman, but he is so much more. Namor, the Sub-Mariner is also a king of Atlantis, but he's a very gruff, unsympathetic one when it comes to dealings with the surface dwellers. He has even gone as far as declaring war on the surface world. This kind of movie has always struggled to get made because of its setting - the depths of the ocean. Sub-Mariner's character could carry the film if the technology would allow such a movie to happen.

Good feedback. I might do individual articles on the characters mentioned and flesh out why I feel each could carry their own films!

It's not a bad list but I'd love to hear more of your reasoning as to why you think they'd make good movies or what they'd give us that we haven't seen already.
