5 Movie Sequels that Weren't Worth Seeing

Rachel Heller
Movies are part of our culture. In fact, movies are shared experiences. This is because people watching movies in a theater often laugh or cry at the same thing at the same time. There are many great movies that are worth watching. In addition, there are sequels that are made to celebrate the success of the first movie. However, there are many sequels that don't need to be made. In other words, there are some movie sequels that are "lemons." Here are five sequels that weren't worth watching.

Sex and the City wasn't sexy. I liked Sex and the City on television. I also liked the first Sex and the City movie because Carrie got married and Charlotte had a baby. However, the sequel was bad. The plot was thin. I also thought that the characters didn't grow. I was disappointed by this movie.

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason left me cold. I liked the first movie; therefore, I was looking forward to seeing this film. However, the sequel had no substance. Hugh Grant was okay. However, the rest of the cast fell flat. The characters didn't grow and evolve in this movie. In short, I couldn't wait to see the end credits to role.

Transformers wasn't electrifying. I wasn't keen on the first movie. However, because of friends, I saw the sequel. There was action; but, there was no acting. There was no series plot and the computer generated graphics had bee seen before. The first movie was enough.

Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull didn't shine. I anticipated Harrison Ford return as everyone's favorite archaeologist. Harrison Ford is still handsome. However, I could have done without this movie. The plot was tired and old. I didn't care what happened to the characters. This sequel gets an A for effort and an F for execution.

Legally Blonde was vacant. I loved the first movie because it was fresh, fun, funny. It was also incredibly pink. However, this movie felt stale. Reese Witherspoon was charming; but, the rest of the cast added nothing to the film. Sally Field is a good actress; however, she was filler in this movie. In short, this sequel was a waste of acting talent.

Movies are a part of our culture. Many people love movies. Popular movies often have sequels. Some sequels are good and some are lemons. I picked five sequels that weren't worth watching. I hope that movie lovers will think twice before viewing them. Source: none
