5 Must-Have Travel Size Items when Traveling to Florida

Candice

Going on holiday to Florida? Visiting parents or grandparents? Or maybe just a family outing to Disney? Are you wondering what you should bring on your Florida trip? Read on for the best "must have" travel size items you'll need when going to Florida.

They don't call it the sunshine state for nothing. It gets sunny, hot and humid, so just be prepared to sweat, or maybe even get caught in the rain.

Remember to pack:

Sunscreen - One of the most important things to bring is sunscreen. Always pack sunscreen in everyone's bag in case you run out, buying it in the tourist shops will cost you more.

Long sleeve white shirt - Roll it up to fit in your beach bag. You may not think you'll need it, but after a few hours in the sun, even with sunscreen, your skin will thank you if you wear a cover over it. The white color just helps keep you cool by white's reflective properties.

Aloe Vera Gel - a travel size aloe vera gel 2 oz. bottle is perfect for cooling off sunned or even burned skin. Not only is it cooling, but it helps heal burns too. Add a few drops of peppermint and lavender essential oils for extra cooling and healing effect, and shake well before each use.

Papaya Enzyme Chewable Tablets - These are great to carry with you for a multitude of reasons. For one, they are perfect for relieving pain, itch and sting of mosquito, jellyfish, and/or wasp and bee stings. (Chew them up, and make a paste to apply to any sting). For another, they are good for helping digestion after a big meal, and for another, they taste great! Read my article here on the benefits and uses of papaya enzyme.

Anti-bacterial Gel - Always a good idea to bring hand sanitizer, and a travel size gel bottle packed in everyone's bag is even better to have "at hand"... pardon the pun, heh heh.. :) You can even make your own if you're so inclined, see how here.

It should be noted to carry an extra pair of sunglasses and a travel-size umbrella, many times those unexpected thunderstorms pop up when you least expect them.

Above all, enjoy the beauty of Florida and don't litter!

Sunscreen is very important. I'd add deodorant as it is hot and sticky usually.
