5 Other Choices for Wonder Woman Than Adrianne Palicki

It was recently announced that the actress Adrianne Palicki has been cast as Wonder Woman for an NBC pilot by David E. Kelley. I love Adrianne Palicki. She was outstanding in Friday Night Lights. But it's a little difficult for me to see her playing the character of Wonder Woman aka Diana Prince. She has a certain ability to pull off being both sexy and strong which will probably work for her on the upcoming TV series. But, for some reason, my brain just gets all garbled up when I try to envision her as any sort of superhero. I'm sure Adrianne Palicki will be as good as the material allows her to be; she's not a bad choice for the part. But just for fun, here are some other people I'd like to see play the famed superhero:

Connie Britton

I think it might have been cool if they had gone with an older actress than Adrianne Palicki. Another Friday Night Lights cast member, Connie Britton, would have been an interesting choice to play a television version of Wonder Woman. I can see that better. Perhaps I just think of Wonder Woman as being old... err, older?

Emily VanCamp

What can I say about Emily VanCamp... I just like her. I'm not sure she's as dynamic of an actress as Adrianne Palicki but I think she might be more likable.

January Jones

Physically, January Jones is closer to what I imagine Wonder Woman to be like than Adrianne Palicki... except for the blonde hair. But a blonde Wonder Woman would be a nice change. She comes off older yet she would still look good in the outfit. At times, January Jones is a little annoying on Mad Men, but she is one of the more intriguing actresses on TV right now.

Minka Kelly

It's hard to know for sure which actress would make the best Wonder Woman on TV without knowing what the character being created will truly be like. All I'm really going on is Lynda Carter, the outfit, and the general superhero theme. Minka Kelly might be a little delicate to play a superhero, but then that vulnerability is what could make it more fresh. Sort of like an underdog Wonder Woman, eh?

Zoe Kravitz

I think Zoe Kravitz would make an awesome Wonder Woman. I think what the world could use right now is an exotic soulful superhero.
