Bridal Guide to the Top Wedding Florists in Charleston
WildFlowers, Inc.
Owner and Head Designer Beth LeonGuerrero opened her floral design studio in 2007 and has quickly become a favorite of wedding planners and photographers and most importantly, brides. WildFlowers specializes in creating floral art for weddings and special events that reflect the personality of the client. Sometimes whimsical, sometimes elegant, Beth and her staff of creatives consistently produce floral pieces that even the groom notices. Their bouquets, centerpiece designs, and roomscapes are frequently featured in bridal magazines, wedding blogs and online resource guides. WildFlowers is a member of The Charleston Wedding Studio collaboration.
Out of Hand/Ooh! Events
Eclectic, eccentric, excellent! Out of Hand/Ooh! Events is each of these and more. Owner Lisa Thomas has successfully blended retail heaven with event coordination and unforgettable floral design. My daughter chose Ooh! Events as her floral designer and she couldn't have been more pleased with the decision. The bride's bouquet, crafted of calla lilies and creamy heritage roses set off by fiddlehead fern, was exactly what she hoped it would be; elegant and quirky. The table décor, bridesmaids bouquets, and gentlemen's boutonnieres continued the theme established by the bride's bouquet. Instead of the usual corsage for the mothers of the bride and groom, bracelets from Out of Hand were woven with lilies, providing us Mom's with both flowers and a keepsake. Lisa and her staff were a joy to work with from our initial meeting through delivery and set-up at Alhambra Hall on my daughter's big day.
Tiger Lily Florist
After more than a decade working with wedding planners and brides, Manny and Clara Gonzales know the Charleston wedding scene well. When you are choosing a wedding florist, picking one who is both artistic and knowledgeable about the venue is a good thing. Tiger Lily Florist includes Middleton Place and Lowndes Grove plantations, the Wentworth Mansion, Charleston Place, the Kiawah Island Club and many more popular wedding and reception venues around town. But small is good too and the Lilies put as much effort into coming up with the perfect bouquet for a simple backyard wedding as they do for one with all the trimmings. Their experience, creativity, and enthusiasm hasn't gone unnoticed and the studio is consistently listed among the best wedding florists in the city and were recently featured in Style Me Pretty and Style Unveiled for their superior style and elegance. Always generous, Tiger Lily has a wedding planning guide on their website that is available to brides everywhere.
Keepsakes Florist
People often comment on how easy it is to work with Karen Spalviero and her staff of floral designers. Friendly and open, the talented design artists at Keepsakes Florist pride themselves on their ability to pay attention to the details and stay open to new ideas. Add creativity and an eye for design, which Keepsakes Florist has aplenty, and you have the right combination for a top wedding florist. Karen is intent on providing more than simply beautiful centerpieces and bouquets, she and her design artists work with the bride to create a personal floral design. A member of the Charleston Bridal Association, Spalviero's studio is a featured vendor on the Martha Stewart Weddings website.
Sara York Grimshaw Designs
Sara York Grimshaw Designs, formerly Dahlia Designs, is one of the few florists in the Lowcountry to style themselves 'green'. To help reduce the impacts of her business on the environment, Sara chooses options such as using in season flowers from local growers who use the land sustainably. SYG Designs is forward thinking but they do not forget that this is Charleston after all and tradition has a solid foothold here. Interweaving classic wedding floral design elements with inspired detail, she and her staff consistently create stunning bridal bouquets and arrangements. Talented and unique, it is no wonder that her work is featured frequently in bridal magazines and wedding websites and that her studio is a Charleston Wedding Magazine preferred vendor.
