After ten years of helping clients quit smoking, here is a list of quit smoking tips. This list helped others and it can help you quit smoking too. Find the best way to stop smoking here.

Figure Out the Craving to Quit Smoking

Figure out what's going on when you crave cigarettes. Break it down. If you crave cigarettes after meals, brush your teeth instead. The Stop-It Smoking® lozenges help with nerves if that's when you want a cigarette. And when you want to do something with your hands, try a squeeze ball to keep hands busy. Plan ahead so that you know exactly what you are going to do when you have a nicotine craving.

Cheat Sheet to Quit Smoking

Write things down to discourage you. What you spend on cigarettes, deaths per year due to lung cancer, smelly hair and breath, food doesn't taste good and second hand smoke is harmful are some things to write on your quit smoking tips cheat sheet. Read it often as a reminder why you want to quit smoking now.

Friends Who Quit Smoking

Find someone to encourage you when it's too tough to quit cigarettes. Talking helps you stop smoking. If you find someone who has already quit smoking, so much the better.

I often heard clients say they were afraid of weight gain if they quit smoking. Remember you have a choice between good health or lung disease. Then decide which you would rather face. Now is a good time to start light exercise and healthy eating habits. Then, before you quit smoking, you are already doing things to ensure healthy weight.
