5 Reasons You Should Get Back to Watching Grey's Anatomy

nd
I got into Grey's Anatomy way after the first season came out on DVD. So I basically waited for the third season to come out on DVD while I was TiVo-ing season four. But as I was getting totally excited about the show, my friends were giving up on it. I really don't understand why - it is getting great!

There are two Greys. Lexie Grey is Meredith's half-sister. She is interesting, quick-witted, complex and attractive. She seems much more relaxed and open than Meredith, but has an equally complicated past, with a drunken father and a recently passed away mother. The relationship with Lexie and Meredith gives us a closer understanding of Meredith and, simply put, why she is the way she is. Good plot twist.

Izzie and George. They so got it on while George was married (albeit they were totally drunk), but can't seem to get it on again as their relationship is moving forward. This is an odd couple, and while I loved their confessions of love, I doubt that the relationship will last. The progress is worth watching, if for no other reason then to giggle at all of their awkward moments.

Christina moves on. Callie moves in with Christina into Burke's former apartment. This is a great insight into Christina's strength - we are finally seeing an emotionally charged side of her that doesn't involve surgery or someone else's expectations. While she struggles to move forward, she is yet again interesting and multi-dimensional. Hey, folks at Grey's - great job!

McSteamy is still around. I wish to remind you of the scene where McSteamy stands in Addison's hotel room in nothing but a towel. Do I need to say more? Really? Well, he is free and sexy and possibly too preoccupied with getting McDreamt back. But we forgive him for that one - the two of them are worth watching.

Alex. Alex. Alex. Much like with the rest of the cast, we're getting a much-needed deeper look into what makes Alex the kind of guy he is - tough but understanding. Alex hooks up with Lexie; this brings a different dimension to all relationships involved. Alex is also more focused this season, with more focus on him from both personal and professional angles.

It's getting good again folks. I suggest you get back on the fan wagon. Missed any episodes? ABC offers full-length episodes on their web site - takes a bit to start the video stream, but not a bad way to catch up. And you should most definitely catch up.
