5 Reasons Emily Maynard Will Make Great "Bachelorette"

Chris Houston

Emily Maynard just might be the best pick to ever play "The Bachelorette." Maynard, who recently split with Brad Womack, is in talks with the show to possibly play the part. She has an interview with host Chris Harrison set to air on July 11th during the next episode of "The Bachelorette."

Fans appear to be truly excited already that Emily is on the verge of coming back to the show to once again find romance with 25 guys. An US Magazine story covering the topic has over 1,500 recommendations(or likes).

It's just a small sampling of the fan likes she'll possibly get if she accepts the role. Could Emily realistically be "The Bachelorette?" For now, it looks like it's more than just a small possibility. Perhaps the Monday night interview with Harrison will shed a bit more light on her willingness to take on the job. With that in mind, here are five reasons why Maynard will make excellent "Bachelorette" material.

1) Girl Next Door Appeal
Emily Maynard has the girl next door appeal with the Playboy looks. Her southern charm and hospitality is enough to draw in the guys. She has a quiet ease about her that is just appealing to many men. It was clear during the Brad season that she was the woman guys wouldn't mind taking home to mom.

2) Fans Want To See Happy Ending
Despite the tragic death of her boyfriend, Emily has obviously persevered to find happiness and raise a daughter. Fans will want to see Emily find love since she didn't accomplish that with Brad on "The Bachelor." If she does find that guy, it would make for a Hollywood type ending for the girl many fans have grown to like. She's been through enough devastation-so it would be awesome for fans to see her grab onto something great--or someone great.

3) Moms Need Love, Too

I believe Maynard would be the first mom to play the role of "The Bachelorette." I am sure many single moms will be rooting vicariously for Emily Maynard to get hitched during her season if she opts to go for it. Much like the Jason Mesnick season, there's something purely romantic about someone who is willing to accept not one but two hearts into their life.

4) Brad Wasn't The Right Guy

I think there is a strong sentiment out there that Brad Womack wasn't the right guy for Emily. For those people, watching Emily get another chance is refreshing. Womack and Emily just didn't seem to gel and I think that appeared obvious in the "After the Final Rose" special. This could more than make up for the unhappy result of "The Bachelor" Brad season.

5) Nice To See She Is Finally Ready

It would be terrific to see that Emily is finally ready to settle down after her past tragedy. Not only would she be able to find potential love, she could do it in front of millions of people who adored her on "The Bachelor." There is probably going to be some skepticism that Emily didn't seem ready to move on and find another guy while on the first show. Is her heart open? We'll see if she accepts the opportunity to be the next "Bachelorette." Her appearance could be very compelling because clearly there are some hurdles and issues she needs to get past. Perhaps the right guy will make that a very smooth transition for her.

Those are several reasons why Emily Maynard would be a terrific "The Bachelorette." Will the ratings be off the charts if she pursues it? It kind of always depends more on the suitors than it does the actual person at the center of the show. We've found as fans that the 25 people coming in often provide the controversy, sparks and compelling moments. Who knows which suitors would be invited to the party-but as usual, it will be must watch TV if Emily plays the part.
