5 Reasons to Hate Mondays

James R. Ford
Reasons to hate Mondays......there are many, but here is a capsule of the things that happen on that day.

The weekend is over, and it's time to get back to work. The people you can't stand to see all week and avoid all weekend are in your face.

Can't sleep in. The grind towards Friday begins here. Start the countdown. Four more days until that afternoon nap.

It's not Tuesday. For those who get paid on Tuesdays, Monday is the longest day of every week.

Most national holidays are on Mondays. Banks are closed and even the letter carrier won't show up with all those annoying store flyers containing pizza specials and mattress deals.

If Wednesday is pasta day, and Friday is pizza night, then Monday is leftovers from the weekend. Don't feel like cooking, won't send for takeout until Friday.
What is in the fridge? Not much. Got to get to the store to re-stock food supply.

Mondays have much reason to be hated, we all have our own design for what annoys us so much about this day.

Maybe if we rename it, it won't be so bad. I suggest a woman's name. Like Debbie. Or Susan.
How about Sandwich. That would make people smile.

Leftovers aren't so bad. Mondays are not my favorite day either, but I have learned to view them as a fresh start for the new week.
