Like you ever really need a reason to visit the Disneyland Resort in California? From the classic Disney attractions at Disneyland such as Pirates of the Caribbean to the new rides and shows at Disney's California Adventure, there are always lots of reasons to visit the Disneyland Resort. But if you're looking for even more reasons to visit, here are five reasons to visit the Disneyland Resort in 2011!

World of Color
At Disney's California Adventure, the new nighttime spectacular World of Color is "wow-ing" audiences nightly. The show, which takes place on and above the park's Paradise Bay, features over 1000 fountains, lights, fire, fog and water projection screens that feature Disney characters.

Star Tours in 3D
Star Tours, the simulator ride inspired by the Star Wars trilogy gets an update in 2011. With a new storyline and a new, 3D movie, riders will take of on a re-imagined ride this year aboard this Tomorrowland favorite!

Ariel's Undersea Adventure
Get ready to dive fathoms below with Ariel and her friends at Disney's California Adventure. Riders will board a giant clam before descending on a magical underwater journey featuring Ariel, Sebastian, Flounder, and other friends from Disney's The Little Mermaid. (This ride will also open at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in 2014)

Mickey's Soundsational Parade
Scheduled to replace the Celebrate! A Street Party at Disneyland, Mickey's Soundsational Parade will feature Mickey Mouse and all his pals. Live dancers and musicians will bring to life classic Disney favorites along the parade route in the new daily parade.

Captain EO
Replacing Honey I Shrunk the Audience in Disneyland's Tomorrowland, this 3D film orignally ran at Disneyland from 1986 to 1997. It's back for a limited run and be sure to see it before it's gone forever! Captain EO features the musical and acting talents of Michael Jackson as the leader of a rag-tag group of space explorers on a mission to deliver a gift to the leader of a dying world. The 17 minute film features two musical numbers and, at the time it was made, was the most expensive film per minute ever made.
