5 Reasons Why the HTC HD7S Android Smartphone Might Be Dead on Arrival
Why the Upcoming HTC HD7S Smartphone Might Already Be Obsolete
The HTC HD7S is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2011, but while most Android enthusiasts are salivating over its many features, the HTC HD7S might be obsolete before its released do to these lacking features.
Battery Life
Battery life is one of the most important features of any smartphone and the HTC HD7S's battery leaves a lot to be desired. With modern smartphones boasting 10+ hours of battery life, the advertised 5.5 hours of battery life promised on the HTC HD7S pales in comparison to most modern smartphones. 5.5 hours of talk time is poor, but once you consider that you'll likely want to use apps, browse the web, watch movies and due lots of other battery and power intensive functions, the promised 5.5 hours of battery life may prove to be even lower.
Average Camera Quality
Most consumers are swapping out dedicated digital cameras for smartphones and the quality of a smartphone's camera is high on the list of notable smartphone features. With 8 megapixel, 10 megapixel, and even 12 megapixel cameras being uncommon on most modern smartphones, the 5 megapixel quality camera of the HTC HD7S resembles a smartphone released in 2010, not one due out late 2011.
Hardware
The camera isn't the only feature that's outdated on the HTC HD7S and under the hood, its packing lots of obsolete hardware. The HTC HD7S features a 1GHz single core processor, 576MB of RAM, a 1230 mAh battery, and a 5 megapixel camera. With most modern phones packing a dual core processor and 1GB of RAM, the HTC HD7S offers almost half of what the status quo smartphone offers.
Poor Speakers
Cell phone speaker quality is a feature that's often overlooked '" until it's done wrong. The small and poor quality speakers of the HTC HD7S robs the user of an otherwise great experience when watching movies, playing games, using apps, watching online videos, talking on a speaker phone and other features that require the use of the speaker's sound.
Display Quality
A smartphone's screen is the center of attention and although the HTC HD7S sports a large 4.3 inch touchscreen display, it's quality is lacking behind most other common smartphones. With Super AMOLED and NOVA touchscreen displays popping up all over the place, the WVGA LCD quality of the HTC HD7S touchscreen display will cost most users a more vibrant experience.
