5 Reasons Why Living in New Jersey is Better Than Living in New Hampshire

Who Wants Their Babies Kissed by Politians?

1. NH Is Not As Serene As It Appears

To outsiders New Hampshire appears serene and beautiful. No one can argue about the natural beauty of New Hampshire. However when it comes to being serene, let's think about it. Do you remember Peyton Place? Either the book, movie or TV series? If so then remember that Peyton Place was written by Grace Metalious. Metalious lived in Gilmaton NH. Although Gilmaton is a very small town there is strong evidence that she wrote the book from real events including murder and incest, that occured in Laconia a nearby town. Legend has it that the town shunned Grace after the book was published.

Speaking of Laconia it is also home to "Bike Week" the annual event started 82 years ago. Every June over 300,000 Harley Davidsons and their owners come to NH. Although most of the crowd is well behaved a jail was built in 1990 just to house intoxicated persons during the event. At least in NJ you know there are rowdy people, in NH they are here but hidden.

2. There Are No Dinners
Unlike NJ there are no dinners. Native New Hampshireites figure if you can't get up early enough to have breakfast, you don't deserve it.

3. Unorganized Crime Makes Life Messy.
In NH if a car is stolen and you find it, it's ruined. Your insurance company insists you fix it, and it never runs rights again. However in New Jersey if your car is stolen it is gone. Probably all ready sold by the time you realise it's not on the street. So you get a check and a new car. The problem with unorganized crime is it's so messy and makes more work for the victim.

4.NH Has Six Seasons with Summer being July 4th.
In NH there is Mud Season from March thru April. Spring -1st week in May, Black Fly Season a lovely biting knat that arrives on Mother s Day and leaves on Father's Day. Summer- July 4th and it's over. Fall from July-September. Winter from October-March.

5. NH is Cold.
It is soo cold in NH that the US Goverment has a Cold Region Research Lab. CRREL hosts a multitude of science and engineering experts in highly specialized, low-temperature facilities in New Hampshire, and a field station in Fairbanks, Alaska. And you know how cold Alaska is.

6. This is an extra! New Hampshire gets flooded with politians running for President of the US every four years! Who wants their babies kissed by politians?
