5 Reasons Why Pornography is Good for Society
Of course, it is sensible to restrict pornography to those that are of age. And no matter how you cut it, pornography involving children, animals, and the harm of individuals is just wrong. Other than that however, I am a staunch supporter of pornography. In fact, I believe it is good and even essential to society. Here are 5 reasons why:
5. Porn = money for economy. And lots of it. According to estimates, the American porn industry rakes in more than $10 billion dollars a year. In fact, the porn business is known to completely overwhelm the box office in terms of viewership and revenue. What does this mean for society? Despite the fact that the majority of the revenue end up in the hands of the distributors, creators, and stars of the films, the money that circulates still contributes to the overall market. And that means that it actually helps increase GDP for America. That's right folks, every time you watch a pornographic film, you can tell yourself that you're doing it for the national economy.
4. Porn = jobs. If pornography were to be banned and prohibited, countless people in America would be unemployed. Men and women who star in adult films would suddenly be left with few options on their next choice of a job. What company would be willing to hire a woman who used to be in pornography? Let's face it, some people are best suited to marketing their bodies rather than anything else. And who could blame them? Stupid people who are unemployed can become more than a detriment to society and can pose a threat to society if they are left unemployed.
3. Pornography minimizes stalking, rape, and underage sex. Forget the possibility of zombies eating people. Imagine crowds of horny people running around the landscape with their tongues out and mounting just about anyone and anything that can satisfy their sexual desires. Ok, that may be exaggerating just a little bit, but let's consider the fact that pornography alleviates sexual desires. It allows people to pleasure themselves. If that source of pleasure is no longer available, then people must find other ways to pleasure themselves. This can lead to disaster, and an exponential increase in predatory rape and harrassment cases.
2. Porn creates controversy. Does that sound ridiculous? Probably. But for a moment let's forget all the negative connotations associated with controversy and think about only the interesting aspects. Controversy focuses attention and sells news. Why? Because people want it, crave it, and cannot for the love of god live without it. Ok, well maybe they can live without it, but people will be bored out of their minds with the humdrum happenings of their everyday lives. Due to its core nature of being explicit and hardcore, pornography is one of the primary sources of controversy. Sex sells, and so does porn. The two go hand in hand like peas and carrots.
1. Porn strokes the ego. Now we get into the core pshcyological issue at hand. Believe it or not, society today is burdened by a countless number of people who feel lonely, depressed, and downright insufficient. Pornography gives those people the opportunity to release their innermost desires and feel whole again. In short, it strokes their ego. This reduces crime, increases work productivity, and most important of all- it makes people feel better about themselves.

All these reasons are subjective reasons. Tomorrow, what you consider as "not good," others will consider it as "good" because of the subjective man made laws.
When people know today as "the unthinkable" become legalized in the future, don't be shocked for them to give you supposed "good reasons" as to why they support it.

I got nothing against porn, it is all natural. People now adays are too butt hurt, and afraid of things. We need to go back to the Roman days, where sex was an open, every day thing.

Well really a lot of people are against it of course because it's dirty. I find it sexy, hot, and amazing. But I feel quite unusual when it comes to showing it to people. Free porn sites shouldn't be allowed. One because our children. If you talk about porn around the hood or whatever our children might see it. Then they tell their friends to watch it! Next thing you know children will be trying to this when the get a pinch older. Also because it's illegal. I don't know why they made free porn sites! People could get in trouble and our children too. We really shouldn't expose sex to the world. Almost everybody will know how to do it. You are are be so dumb that you get people involved in this. I'm okay with this but what about the children? What about the porn stars! Pretty soon they will all be gone cause of these complains.
I'm not really against porn, except that which takes advantage of children and harms people, but most of these reasons are not all that great. In fact, I'm pretty sure I disagree with reasons 3 and 5.
Amazing. Exploitation of women? Really? Last time I checked, there were guys in porns too. Even without porn will there be rape? Of course. There's always going to be someone who's willing to take it that far. Pornography helps keep your hormones under check instead of making you bottle them up until you just can't bare it any more. People now-a-days only focus on something being sexist or racist to attack while there are many other topics that you guys should be patronizing.
