5 Reasons for Women to Have More Sex

The Benefits of Good Sex

Pamela Pleasant
As women, sometimes we do not talk about sex as often as we should. We were raised as though the subject should be taboo and only talked about behind closed doors. The fact is, sex is certainly very healthy. Especially for women.

Women these days have so much responsibilities. Besides having to maintain a house hold, they often have full time jobs and the kids to take care of. This can get very stressful. Stress contributes to a host of problems including heart disease. Sex eliminates stress. When a woman has an orgasm she releases a hormone called "Oxytocin". It lowers blood pressure and produces a calm feeling. Due to the Estrogen in a women's body, it works hand and hand with the Oxytocin to relieve stress even better than a man. Men have high levels of testosterone, which can actually counter act Oxytocin.

Having a busy schedule leaves us sometimes short on time to exercise. But sex also is a great way burn calories and get a good workout. It speeds up our heart rates and if the sex is really intense, it can also be considered a cardiovascular workout. Who would not want to have good sex, instead of say, riding a stationary bike in the gym?.

While we are on the subject of heart health, sex is actually a good way to prevent heart attacks and strokes. It strengthens our muscles and if done twice a week or more, it strengthens our whole cardiovascular system. During arousal and through orgasm hormones, (like adrenaline) are released, and are also known to make the heart stronger.

When women are in their late 30's through out their 40's, they have a tendency to get insomnia form time to time. Sex is a great way to calm down, relax and finally get to sleep. With the releasing of the hormones Oxytocin and Endorphins after achieving an orgasm, sleep should be no problem after a fulfilling session of love making.

Lastly, women are known to have aches and pains around menstruation. We endure headaches, cramping and are generally in not too good of mood right before and during menstruation. Sex can help with all these problems. The release of Endorphins and Corticosteroids during and after sex, acts as natural pain killers with in the body. It is no wonder why we always feel better physically, after a good romp.

Sex is not only very beneficial health wise but after an orgasm we feel mentally better also. Sex can help with things like depression, or a lack luster mood. It can bring you and your partner closer together emotionally.

So with all these health benefits and improvement in overall quality of life, there is only one thing left to do. Go have some great sex!.

I've always felt people who were unwilling to acknowledge the benefits of a red-blooded sex drive and practice were either sick in the head, sick in the body, or both.
