The world is going to end on Dec. 21, 2012. According to people with little to no respectable credentials, Christ is set to return on that date. while the are people who believe everything they are told, Some of us would rather step back and weigh such information against facts. While these people may want it to happen, it doesn't seem like a likely thing to go down.
5.) The bible doesn't have a doom date.
Read the bible. It's a tough read, but you should definitely check it out sometime. Revelations 16:15(international Standard version) states 'See, I am coming like a thief. How blessed is the person who remains alert and keeps his clothes on! He won't have to go naked and let others see his shame.' Which means, you won't see it coming. There is no date or year of the worlds demise in the bible. People saying otherwise are blowing smoke up your rear end.
4.) Christ ain't confirming anything.
And because there is not a date set in the good book, you can be certain that good 'ole J.C. isn't going to let the cat out of the bag before he feels it's the right time. It's sad that people were willing to believe Camping, when the Pope would be a more legit source for what's gonna happen. If God's right hand man didn't get the memo, it's probably not true.
3.) The Mayan Calender didn't say it was the end.
You know what happens at the end of the Mayan Calender? Nothing. It's the end. There's no extra text that translates to 'P.S. You guys should probably get ready for some thing big towards the end of 2012. It's gonna get crazy out there!' It just ends. If my journal suddenly ends one day, it doesn't flat out mean I've passed on. It just means I stopped updating it.
2.) People lie.
Men women, boys, girls all lie. They all have their own little reasons for fibbing. It may be to cheer someone up , to protect them from the truth, etc. Some people just lie as a way of making themselves feel good. If you can get a lot of people to buy into your lie, That feeling must be a good one. They would probably end up doing things for you, that wouldn't happen if not for your elaborate non-truths.
1.) Stop feeding the trolls.
A troll is somebody in an online environment who only says something as a way of getting a rise out of other people. Doomsday theorists are real trolls. They want your attention, not because something is going to happen. They only want to be seen and heard. They crave attention like I craved my mothers pork chops as a kid. Stop paying attention to them, so they can find something productive to do with their lives.
