5 Strange Ways to Die in Red Dead Redemption

In many video games, there are amusing ways to get your character killed. Playing Red Dead Redemption teaches you that in the Wild West, you should always expect the unexpected. While playing, I have managed to die in some unusual circumstances. Some of them would take perfecting timing to recreate. These are the strangest ways I have died while playing Red Dead Redemption.

Death by drowning
John can't swim, I understand that. Although, it seems odd that wading into a body of water kills him. If he's close to the shore, he can't walk out? The horses he rides seems to have a better time getting out of the water.

Death by doors
I was trying to clear out Fort Mercer from bandits. I climbed over the wall and began shooting. Making my way to the first house on the upper floor, I opened the door. The door then swung backwards, hitting John and he began to stumble. It was the perfect opportunity for the bandits in the house to gun me down. Death by doors has happened many times to me in Red Dead Redemption, but that was most memorable.

Death by someone who was suppose to be helping me
In the mission Landon Ricketts Rides Again, John and Landon enter a cave in order to save Luisa. Upon entering the cave, Landon got a bit too excited and knocked me over. Of course, I was then gunned down by every kidnapper in the place. Thanks.

Death by rattlesnake lover
I just turned on the game and was leaving one of my houses in Mexico. John walked outside and was promptly bitten by a rattlesnake. In self defense, I shot the snake. Next thing I know, I'm being gunned down by someone who was sitting next to my house. I was so shocked to be killed just for shooting a snake. I can only chalk my untimely death to shooting a gun in a town or maybe the guy just really loved snakes.

Death by cows
During the mission a Tempest Looms, you have to herd cattle during a thunderstorm. When this mission first came up, I didn't think much of it since herding was easy at the ranch. But mix in a whole lot of cows, thunder, lighting, and a steep cliff and that's when problems start. Not only did the cattle seem to be on a suicide mission, they were determined to take me with them.

The horse and train are conspiring against me
This is craziest way I have managed to die in Red Dead Redemption. I was coming back from killing a bounty. Other people were shooting at me from horseback. I accidentally pushed my horse over the limit. The horse reared up and knocked me off. I fell onto the train tracks right as the train went by. It took me a few seconds to realize what happened, as it was so quick and strange.
