Extra External Hard Drive

You need an external hard drive to make a copy of all of your work. You want to back up all of your projects on an external hard drive. Make sure to put a copy on it all of the time. You don't want to risk losing all of your data on the C drive from a power surge gone wrong. An external hard drive can save you much wasted hours and gives you a sense of security since you have all of your work backed up on it.

Extra Digital Camera

You always need to keep a digital camera in your vehicles. You don't want to be stuck without a extra digital camera in your car just in case you forgot to grab your other one at the office before you left. You never want to be unprepared so its wise to keep extra items handy. You always want to keep an extra memory card in your case too. You want to make sure that you have enough room on a extra memory card just in case the current one is full during the middle of a project so you have the extra one to rely on.

Extra Batteries

You always want to have twice the amount of batteries than what you really need to have in stock. You want to keep batteries on hand in your vehicles all the time. You want to keep batteries in your office and your camera case as well. You want to never run out of batteries especially out in the middle of nowhere on a project. You don't want to run out of batteries during the middle of a project so make sure to bring some batteries with you in your car, office, and case.

Pen & Paper

You need to have notepads in bulk. The more notepads that you have then the better chances that you will always be prepared. Make sure to keep some notepads in your vehicles. Make sure to keep some notepads and pens in your case bags. You never want to be without a notepad since it will make you look unprofessional. You definitely need to have a endless supply of pens. You never want to be caught without a pen since you look unprofessional. Throw several pens in your Purse, Vehicle, and Office.

Digital Audio Recorder

You always want to bring the digital audio recorder with you. You want to have several of these things on hand with you just in case you forget one at the office. You may want to transfer your notes to another digital audio recorder for a big project that you are working on just in case you end up losing the information somehow that you have a backup one. This is a life saver in most cases. Digital Audio Recorders allow you to be able to go over certain notes and interviews without having to go through a ton of paper. You do want to look at your paper notes though and make sure to listen to your notes on the digital tape recorder to double check things when you in the steps to finish your project.
