5 Things the IPad 2 Still Does Better Than the IPhone

Apple's two top-billing products - the iPad 2 and iPhone 4 have been compared a lot and many believe that the iPhone is the precursor for features on the iPad, and although this might be true, there are several reasons why the iPad 2 has the iPhone beat.

Memory

The iPhone 4 may already have Retina Display, weighs less, can fit in your pocket, and has better front and back facing cameras than the iPad 2, but when it comes to memory, the it just doesn't stack up to Apple's tablet. The iPhone 4 comes in two different capacities - 16GB and 32GB - but the iPad 2 can boast as much as twice the amount of memory of Apple's phone with a maximum of 64GBs of storage.

Screen Real Estate

One of the upsides of having an iPhone is that it's compact and can fit in your pocket, but and obvious downside to it is the phone's small 3.5 inch screen. It's very obvious to see that the iPad 2 has a much larger screen the iPhone 4 [at 9.7 inches] - which is better for reading eBooks, browsing the web, watching movies, playing games, and pretty much everything else done on both the iOS devices.

Processing Power

Under the hood, the iPhone 4 is very impressive - especially considering its size - with 512MB of RAM a 1GHz A4 processor, but while the iPad shares the same amount of RAM as Apple's latest phone, it boasts twice as much processor speed with a dual-core A5 processor and a graphics chip that's even more than 9 times as fast as its predecessor - which is definitely a big deal.

Better Apps

With the iPad 2's larger display and better graphics chip and processor, it has approximately 65,000 exclusive apps that aren't available on the iPhone 4 or any other iOS device. Not only does the iPad have the most apps, but it's also capable of featuring better quality apps than the iPhone - with only more to come.

Backwards Compatibility

In addition to having a larger quantity and better quality apps, the iPad 2 is also backwards compatible with all iPhone and other iPod apps - and the screen resolution difference isn't a big deal because the iPad can double the size of iPhone apps to fits its screen more accurately.
