5 Things You Should Know About Candace Cameron Bure

Candace Cameron Bure was the recipient of one of my very first fan letters when I was in sixth grade. I related very much to her character of DJ Tanner on "Full House." So did many young girls growing up in the 1990s. If you think you were and are her biggest fan, challenge yourself to see if you know these facts about Candace.

1. You may soon be seeing her "everywhere you look," as sung on the "Full House" theme song. Cameron set the tone for being cool, hip and sweet as DJ, and she is still a role model to many. In addition to being the star of "Make It Or Break It" and the head of her own production company, Candace Cameron Bure has just released a new book, "Reshaping It All," with co-writer Darlene Schacht.

2. Contrary to sensational headlines, such as People's "Candace Cameron Bure Reveals Her Battle with Bulimia," her book, "Reshaping It All," is not a tell-all, Hollywood book. It does include anecdotes about Hollywood. Yes, she does reveal that she struggled with bulimia at a certain point in her life. However, the book is really focused on healthful living advice, as well as sharing well-researched tips and how-to guides on how to get started on a healthier spiritual and physical path.

3. Candace Cameron Bure is a born again Christian. She is very outspoken about it, within an industry that is not always kind to those who do so. She shares her faith in her new book, as well as her official website, where she has her testimony available for all to read.

4. While you may have great memories of yesteryear with DJ Tanner yearning for her own phone line and the latest George Michael CD, don't expect Candace Cameron Bure to be living in the past. The couple now have three children: Natasha Valerievna Bure,12; Lev Valerievich Bure, 10; and Maksim Valerievich Bure, 8.
