Good luck and Happy Baby!
5 Step Process toward Conception
Buy a Notebook/Journal
Trying to remember everything that happens throughout the fertility journal is difficult. Especially, when we are trying to remember our basal temperatures, changes in cervix mucous, mood swings, cramps, and all the rest of the things that go with fertility - the truth is that we can't remember it all. Journal it as you will need to remember these things month after month. By starting off with your journal, you will be way ahead of the game.
Stay Organized
Tracking your fertility is vital when you are TTC (trying to conceive). To find an easy method that can help you toward getting pregnant is only part of the battle. Following the method is half the battle. Figure out what you are going to be doing for the month, and make a list. Better yet, take at least 15-20 minutes every day write down in your fertility journal. These 15 minutes can get you one step closer to your end goal - having a baby. Turn on some relaxing music while you journal what's happening in your body. Make this a relaxing time of your day you will come to look forward to.
Study your Body
It sounds funny to say you need to study your body, but you really need to if you want to know when you ovulate. Ovulation is key to getting pregnant. We only have a few days that we are fertile. Make use of these days! The truth is that that more you know how your body works, the easier it will be to track the ovulation.
Our body changes throughout the month as our body prepares for ovulation and then our menstrual cycle. Each day, track the cervix mucous your body produces. You will probably find that there are days of complete dryness, then eventually there will be egg-like consistency (this is when you are the most fertile). Right down in your fertility journal all of these changes.
Note: Make sure when you are checking the cervix mucous to wash hands thoroughly.
Stay Inspired
One of the hardest things you may deal with is you emotions. There are so many highs and lows you will face throughout the month, it is vital to stay inspired. By this, I mean your support system. The biggest support you will have is your spouse. Hopefully, you will find this to be true.
For extra inspiration, the following ideas can help you day-by-day, month-by-month. The conception process isn't easy, by any means. Learn how to prepare for those hard days that can and may come.
Subscribe to Scriptures via email - There are many websites that will send you a Scripture every day. This can be very helpful on days when you need it the most.
Subscribe to Inspiring quotes via email - There are also many websites that will give inspirational quotes to you every day via email. All you have to do is do a quick search on Google for your favorite famous people.
Speak positively to your body - Some days can be downright difficult. No these days, we have to almost tell ourselves to stay positive. Don't be afraid to talk to yourself to remind yourself to stay positive.
Be Positive
Only a TTC couple can really understand how difficult it can be to stay positive. Especially, if you've been trying more than six months - you really understand. A smile is hard to find. A positive thought can be the very lifeline to sanity for you. Let's face it. Our thoughts can make or break us. Each positive thought can and will give us hope for another day. We can keep trying. We will get pregnant. It all begins with a positive thought.
As we began to follow a method of really focusing on our bodies, we can and will learn more to prepare us for this journal called trying to conceive. Good luck to you and I pray you become pregnant soon.
