Most men have told me that they are romantic toward women because they want to see a woman happy. This in itself makes them happy. I get where they are coming from and as a woman am happy that this is so simple for them. On the other hand, what if a woman just wants to do something for her man that isn't about her as much as it is about him?

The one thing a woman needs to understand is that men are not women. Don't show up at the door with chocolates, wine and flowers. Don't involve stuffed animals in anyway, it is in fact childish and men don't have any idea what they are supposed to do with them. This usually kills valentines day or any other romantic holiday if we don't know what our man interest likes. A man needs to feel manly so non-manly items will only make him feel like a girl.

Get the man something manly he has been wanting. If you don't know what this is, ask his friends. If he doesn't have friends you talk to, spark up a conversation about electronics, sports or events. Knowing him and taking an interest in him will help you plan a gift for him. This will also spark some romantic feelings.

Plan a date he wants. If your man doesn't drink wine, don't take him on a picnic with a bottle of wine and fine cheese. Take him to the batting cages or to a funny movie he has been waiting to see. Plan time to swap kisses and tell him how attractive he is during the date.

If you are going to make a romantic evening in the bedroom, then make it about him. Think of all of the things that men want in a woman, that they have to work for and take the work out of it. Someone told me once to do away with foreplay because men don't need it. It is nice for them to just simply get what they want. Where something out of this world amazing and get busy doing everything that a man wants to be pleased. You will be amazed at how much this pleases you as well.

Take him somewhere. Don't wait for him to ask you to go with him this weekend, ask him to go with you to an event or something special planned for his benefit. Men are very visual people, so limit the conversation and give him something to look at that is fun and exciting.

Give him a day off. Women complain all of the time that men get too comfortable with them and men don't find them attractive any longer. This isn't as true as the fact that they have too much stress, so they just simply don't think about being romantic. When your man comes home from work, tell him to take a nap, wake him up with dinner and give him a back rub. If the stress is gone, they will be in the mood guaranteed.
