- a. Don't set goals: - I know; it is against the 'hype' about goal setting. The reality is: goal setting does not work. Your own experience is enough proof. Goals do not work because in truth they are not goals they are escapes. To 'lose 200 lbs' is running away from 200lbs not running towards say, 100lbs. What you run away from pursues you and you stay overweight.
Lay down the burden of goal setting.
- b. Say 'Yes' to guilt: - You often feel guilt about eating cookies and junkie food, hating every bite of it. Guilt and regret are the mind's way of 'taking back' or 'reversing' the 'damage' caused by an action it knows it should not have engaged in in the first place. But in truth, it actually just worsens the damage.
To end this cycle, don't mind feeling guilty. Welcome the guilt instead of pushing against it. Say to it, 'Make yourself at home. I swallowed the cookies although I hated every bite of them. I think I can swallow you too.' This means diminished attention. Anything you give diminished attention eventually disappears from your life by Law of Attraction.
- c. Liberation Thinking: - There is positive thinking and negative thinking. Liberation thinking is in the middle, the bridge from negativity to positivity.
Lie down on your bed, close your eyes and imagine yourself even more over weight than you already are. Imagine having all the medical complications associated with weight; experience the shame, the self hatred and all. Die from excess weight if you have to.
Do it often; in time you will lighten up about your weight and make peace with it. You will be liberated from the fear of death.
- d. There is no procrastination, only rescheduling: - You probably think procrastination is a bad thing, think again. You procrastinate because 'you do not feel like doing something.' There is nothing bad about that.
What about those things you are 'supposed to do'? Give up goal setting and there will be nothing you are 'supposed to do.' Procrastination is actually rescheduling demonized by the escapist mindset of goal setting.
What then if not goal setting?
- e. Be INSPIRED: - Intentional Normal Steps Performed that Inspire, Resonate and Expand (evolve) you to your Desire. Do not seek to lose weight; seek to expand to the weight you want through an evolution process.
