The mother or who's in charge of providing a child's meal has control over how and what a child eats on a daily basis. Children need a healthy balance diet to have energy and to be involved in physical activities. Therefore, it's important to provide children with a healthy diet to prevent a child from being overweight. Children need plenty of fruits and vegetables. For example, an apple can be an alternative, healthy snack for candy. Of course, planning a weekly menu is a great resource to help provide meals with the necessary nutrients. Many people think that eating a healthy diet is hard work but making small changes to a diet will really benefit a child that's obese.
Fast food is a quick way to provide food for your family. I know that some parents are very busy and don't always have time to prepare meals for their family. Fast food is not healthy and should be limit to once a week. Children love fast food and the media doesn't help with advertising of restaurants. Fast food is very high in calories and can be very addictive. On the whole, parents should limit eating at fast food restaurant to prevent a child from being overweight.
Some children are not as active and prefer to be indoors. Children need to be active to keep up their metabolism. Children are watching TV instead of running around outdoors. Extracurricular activities are a good way to keep a child active. For example, baseball is a good sport that provides a child plenty of exercise and teaches the child how to work as a group. Moreover, keeping a child involved in physical activities will prevent the child from obesity.
Eating healthy is a lifestyle change and this should be considered to prevent obesity. Also, find an activity that the child enjoys and incorporate the active in 3 days a week for 30 minutes a day. Lastly, making healthy choices can be fun if you enjoying what you eating and doing the activity.
