Angelo's Coney Island has been around for a long time. I remember the first time going there as a child. They have the greatest breakfast. They give you more than you can eat. Even though Flint has had hardships with General Motors and many layoffs, Angelo's has survived. They must be doing something right. Their food tastes just as good as it did when I was a little girl. The ham omelets are just delicious. Angelo's is famous for their Coney hot dogs and they will ship their special Coney sauce anywhere in the USA. I love their hamburgers. You can actually see them make the hamburgers when you sit towards the front or come in for carryout. They use real hamburger and not frozen hamburger patties. How refreshing.

AppleBees
AppleBees originated in 1980. It all started in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2002 AppleBees announced its 1500th Restaurant in LaGrangia, Georgia. That is a lot of restaurants.
You must eat at AppleBees. They not only have scrumptious food, they have carside to go. You basically call in your order. When you drive up they have a special area for you to park and they bring your order out to you. I have never had a problem with my order.
Below is a link of their menus, hours, and driving directions to various locations throughout Michigan.

You have got to taste their Grilled Chicken Salad which is only $8.99 and comes in the half-size for only $6.99. The chicken comes warm and is wrapped separately from the salad when using carside to go. The meal is well worth the price. You definitely get your money's worth.
There is a vast variety of choices on the menu including 2 for $20. You can pick and choose dishes of your choice.
See the link below for the map and directions. There are numerous Applebee Restaurants in Flint, Mi.
The company founder, Bob Evans, made sausage on his farm. He owned a 24-hour restaurant in Gallipolis, Ohio. There are Bob Evan Restaurants everywhere now. Although he passed away in 2007, his legacy of Restaurants live on.
They have an awesome breakfast. The food is just mouth watering and very enjoyable. Especially the French toast with strawberries. They also provide catering and carryout.

Cracker Barrel
The Cracker Barrel Country Store opened in Sept. 19,1969 in Lebanon, Tennessee. They now have stores all over the country.
You must see this this Restaurant. Not only does it have items and the theme from the 1900's, it has good breakfast. If you like country sausage and country grits, this is the place to be. They have the best fried catfish. The potatoes and corn are just blissful. The corn muffins taste like "down home" country muffins. They melt in your mouth.
See the link below for the scrumptious menu. I always look forward to eating there.

Golden Gate
I have eaten there many times. Golden Gate's has great breakfast and very low prices. You definitely receive your money's worth. The service is excellent. The waitresses are friendly and provide good service. The 1st of the month is the place where Seniors want to be for breakfast. They have been rated highly in reviews at Yahoo.com

Post a CommentExcellent review! I absolutely love dining at the Cracker Barrel, especially in the cooler months when they have the fireplace roaring away.
Nice write-up. A lot of restaurants have that thing now where you can order and just go pick it up, and you don't even have to get out of your car.
Wow....wished we lived closer Betty. These are wonderful choices. We have been to Cracker Barrel and loved the rustic look.
Wonderful review on some great sounding places.
