5 Tyler Perry Must-See Productions

Enjoy a Good Laugh While Learning Great Life Lessons

Kristina Jones
Tyler Perry has to be one of the most inspirational figures in comedy today. He comes from a very humbling background to a successful writer, director, producer, and actor. He was at one time homeless, but is now spreading the love and messages of goodwill through his plays and movies.

If you have not seen a Tyler Perry play or movie, you need to check one of them out and judge the content for yourself. Tyler Perry gives a new twist to the same comedy style of Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence. He adds in his own life lessons and advice for people from all walks of life. All of his plays and movies offer the best actors, actresses, and singers and they are absolutely phenomenal. Here are five of Tyler Perry's best works which are sure to be a pleasure to watch.

Diary of a Mad Black Woman

Tyler Perry's Diary of a Mad Black Women is a great story. There are themes which center on issues of trust and domestic abuse. In this movie, which is also available in play format, we see Tyler Perry in action as the one and only Madea. Madea is a different kind of woman. She is very large and outspoken and is not your typical "grandmother." Madea helps provide other characters with advice and insight to handling personal issues, especially those with relationships. Madea will also give you a great laugh as she takes care of business.

Why Did I Get Married?

Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married? Is a must see for those who are married, in a relationship, or just want a great laugh. In Why Did I Get Married, issues of infidelity and broken friendships are the central themes. Unfortunately for fans of Madea, she is absent from this play, but the other characters are just as funny, especially Deacon. Of course, there are serious parts of this play, as well as fantastic singing. This is a definite must-see play for all couples!

Madea Goes to Jail

Tyler Perry does it again in his play, Madea Goes to Jail. In this play, Tyler Perry centers the story on child rearing and infidelity. As in all of Tyler Perry's productions, there is phenomenal singing and hilarious acting. Madea takes in a child of her former co-convict and uses good old southern childrearing to mold the child. Madea is also able to bring to light the infidelities of the other characters' lives. If you want some tips on how to raise your child (though the writer does not recommend following all of the advice in the play for legal reasons) or some enlightenment on infidelity, this is a must see. You will surely be rolling over with laughter when you watch Tyler Perry in action in Madea Goes to Jail.

Madea's Class Reunion

Tyler Perry is hilarious as he plays both Madea and a bellboy/bartender in his classic play Madea's Class Reunion. In this play we also see the return of Mr. Brown from another one of Tyler Perry's plays. This play is hilarious with Madea being just as gangster as she always has been. There are central conflicts with issues of infidelity, child rearing, domestic violence, and prostitution. The way in which Tyler Perry's Madea is able to bring forth advice is impeccable in Madea's Class Reunion. With a lot of humor and making the connection the Bible, Madea is able to convey messages which can relate to all kinds of people.

Madea's Family Reunion

Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion may be his finest work yet. In the movie version, Dr. Maya Angelou helps convey messages which have been lost and forgotten by the younger generations. Tyler Perry uses his favorite central theme: infidelity, along with child rearing and family values. Tyler Perry uses Madea to help a young woman gain the strength to leave her abusive fiancée. Madea and her family are extremely hilarious in this performance!

Tyler Perry is a genius when it comes to writing, directing, acting, and producing comedies with a lesson to be learned. The above mentioned Tyler Perry productions are must-see plays and movies. You can find most of these movies at any video or consumer store. Go and pick up a Tyler Perry production today and get your heavy dose of laughter, along with some great insights into everyday life.

    Hi Tyler,

I have been an advent follower of yours since the very beginning. And I also want to let you know that you are the perfect role model for our young adults.

I have something to share with you on your Meet the Brown's show. You need to ask Ms. Halle Berry to come and do an
episode.....because Sasha and Halle favors a whole lot.

I'm not a writer but I do have some good ideas that I could express with you regarding some of your plays and also your up and coming movies.

Tyler I own quite a few of your videos of you art work in film. You are a very blessed manthat our God has found favor in. You have made your mother proud and this I like seeing in our community.

One day after I retire from the City of Detroit as a Municipal worker I would like to move to Atlanta and see this beautiful City and see where my destiny may take me.

Well anyway back to Sasha & Halle if things can be worked out. The episode woule include Sasha & Halle. Sasha would be made at Hall
