I knew of a situation where a man was going to marry a woman until he found out that a woman he slept with years prior was his woman's first cousin. He didn't know it until he recognized the name on the wedding invitations. He didn't tell her the truth, but she found out by his reaction. The look on his face was guilty when he realized what he had done so he ended up backing out on the wedding plans immediately.

Too Young For Him

His family constantly tells him that he is taking advantage of you by being with you. His family tells him that he is too old for you and you are too young for him. He has to constantly justify his actions towards his family all the time. He thinks that you are too young in the end due to them since they have managed to manipulate him into breaking up with you.

Your Family Wrote Him A Check To Not Marry You

Your family called him every name in the book such as being a loser forever so they wrote him a check to not marry you. Your family told him that he would never be good enough to be a part of the family because he came from a loser family that never made as much money as they did. Your family told him that they don't want HIM to marry you because he doesn't make enough money. They tell him that you deserve someone better than him in every sense of the word since he will always be a loser.

He Hates Your Family

It could be nothing against you, but honestly he couldn't stand the thought of being around your family for a lifetime. He didn't want to marry you and be miserable around your family for the rest of his life. He thought it was best to cut his losses right then right there in order to save his life from the misery of your family.

Mental Problems

He may of broke up with you due to his own mental problems. He may of broke up with you due to your mental problems that he couldn't deal with. Perhaps he couldn't see the relationship working out if both of you had mental problems. Perhaps he couldn't deal with your mental problems and he feared he would forever hold them against you even though mental problems aren't anyone's fault.

The worst one would probably be that he is downright embarrassed to be seen in public with you. He wouldn't tell it to your face that he was embarrassed, but he would simply walk out the door never to return.
