5 Upcoming Romance Novels to Read

Paranormal Romance for Women Not Teens

Alexis Valentine
Romance novels can be found anywhere and there are literally hundreds of stories to choose from. The romance genre brings in more money than any other fiction genre and one of the subgenres that has become widely popular is paranormal romance. There are dozens of new paranormal romance coming out each month but there are five books coming out soon that are a must-read. These romance are nothing like Stephenie Meyer's Twilight saga, they're better, at least in my opinion because their target audiences aren't adolescent, doe-eyed, angst, emo teenagers but adults, women (and some men) who want to bring a little spice and adventure into their lives.

"Bad Moon Rising" by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Sherrilyn Kenyon's "Bad Moon Rising" is part of her Dark Hunter series. This book is the story of Fan Kattalakis, a werewolf. When the woman he loves is in trouble he's forced to break the laws of his people and risk it all in order to save her but it could also mean the end for both of their races. "Bad Moon Rising" comes out in hardcover on August 4, 2009.

"DreamFever" by Karen Marie Moning

Karen Marie Moning's "DreamFever" is the fourth book in her Fever series. This book continues to follow the story of MacKayla Lane, a southern girl who traveled across the ocean to Ireland in order to find her sister's killer and get revenge. This Barbie doll got more than what she bargained for and finds herself in a world she never would've imagined could have existed. Not only were the stuff of her nightmares real but she somehow found herself caught in the middle of it all.

In "DreamFever" Mac races back home to Georgia where even more trouble awaits her. The lives of her parents and everyone she loved is now at stake, and even more, she finds out something about herself, her world, her sister and Jericho Barrons. "DreamFever" comes out in hardcover on August 18, 2009.

"The Darkest Whisper" by Gena Showalter

Gena Showalter's "The Darkest Whisper" is the fourth book in her Lords of the Underworld series. This book comes out in paper back in September 2009.

"The Darkest Whisper" is about Sabin, the keeper of the demon Doubt. Due to the demon inside him Sabin doesn't have much luck with women, at least not when it comes to keeping them. The Doubt that dwells inside him always gets the better of his partners, so Sabin spends most of his time in the battlefield, using his curse to his advantage. Then he meets Gwendolyn the Timid, an immortal, who figured she'd fall for a human, someone harmless that wouldn't wake up her darker side. Sabin and Gwen are in a battle against love.

"An Echo in the Bone" by Diana Gabaldon

Diana Gabaldon's "An Echo in the Bone" is the seventh volume of the Jamie Fraser story. This book comes out in hardcover on September 22, 2009. "An Echo in the Bone" continues the story of an 18th century Scotsman, Jamie Fraser and his 20th century time-traveling wife, Claire Randall. Claire and Jamie's story takes place during a time when America was fighting for it's freedom from England, both know that America will win but not at what costs.

Meanwhile, Claire and Jamie's daughter Brianna are safe in the 20th century with her husband Roger MacKenzie. Claire follows her parent's story through letters but is unsure of her fate or the fate of the MacKenzie family.

"Covet: A Novel of the Fallen Angels" by J.R. Ward

"Covet: A Novel of the Fallen Angels" is the first book in a new series by J.R. Ward. "Covet" is the story of Jim Heron and Vin DiPietro. Jim is a fallen angel that must save seven souls from the seven deadly sins, a job he doesn't have a choice but to succeed in.

Vin DiPietro is a man that sold his soul long ago and didn't have a problem with it until he meets a woman that makes him question everything, including his heart and the only person that can help him is a fallen angel. "Covet" comes out in paperback in October 2009.

Don't miss out in any of these series. They're great reads, if you don't believe me just search out each author, the book sells speak for themselves.
