5 Very Poor Features of the Crux360 IPad 2 Keyboard Case

The Worst Features of the Crux360 Keyboard Case for the IPad 2

Millionaire Hoy

The Crux360 is the latest iPad 2 keyboard case to hit the market but if you're looking swap out the iPad 2's touchscreen keyboard with a physical QWERTY Bluetooth keyboard, you might want to look past the Crux360 iPad 2 keyboard case.

Adding and Removing the iPad 2

One of the most annoying features of the Crux360 iPad 2 keyboard case is the way it goes about adding and removing the iPad 2. The top of the Crux360's clamshell case snaps apart in order to allow the iPad 2 to slide into its grooves, but it takes quite a bit of effort to detach the top frame - which makes it more than annoying for those that are looking to add and remove their tablet often.

Lack of Full Protection

The Crux360 for the iPad 2 is marketed as a tablet keyboard case, but it's basically a keyboard attachment that provides very little iPad 2 protection. While the front of the iPad 2 is likely to receive ideal protection, the top of the Crux360 has a gaping hole and a thin frame that leaves the back of your tablet virtually unprotected.

Cramped Keyboard

Being that the Bluetooth keyboard of the Crux360 keyboard case is its main attraction, it's a bit of a shame that it's cramped and not a full-size QWERTY keyboard. Typing on the Crux360 beats typing on the iPad 2's touchscreen keyboard, but it will take a bit of getting used to if you've grown accustomed to typing on a conventional QWERTY keyboard.

Price

The Crux360 keyboard case for the iPad 2 has several flaws, but one of its main drawbacks is its price. iPad 2 accessories are notorious for being expensive, but at $149 USD, the Crux360 keyboard case is priced way above the norm for iPad 2 keyboard cases. The average iPad 2 keyboard case is priced around the $100 mark - making the Crux360 50% more expensive than its competitors.

It Barely Stacks Up to the Competition

With so many iPad 2 keyboard cases on the market, it's hard to find any major reasons to pick the Crux360 keyboard case over, say, the ClamCase, Buddy Case, or Logitech's Tablet Keyboard. The Crux360 is flawed in many ways and considering its expensive asking price, it might be better to side with a competitor.

I like this case and think it's perfect. The case is over engineered, just as I like it. Kinda like a German made car vs. a car made in China. Much nicer. I do agree the fit is tight, but once on I feel much better.

The "Cramped" keyboard is because it's the width of the iPad and that makes it convenient. The keys are good size.

Price: I see them for $99, where do you get the $149?
